| *Updated, pics below*So...since I have 3 purple worms and happen to be running the Age of Worms campaign I decided to do some coversions. I did the epoxy work while watching Stargate and Stargate Atlantis (about an hour total). I referred to the illustration from the Fiend Folio. Will update the thread as I make progress. I will most likely make a second one as well, using lessons I learn while doing the first [:P]

| Thanks for the kind words. Have primed him and actually put on a base coat, blackwashed and started the next layer. Will get a pic of that up soon. Here he is with some primer on him

| | will have more pics tonight. up to the first drybrush after the base and wash. Mama cass, the epoxy is pretty easy to work with. I use this for bigger stuff and bulk details or for hard casts. I can give you the exact name of it when I am home. I picked it up at gencon last year and have used maybe half of each tub. Think it was around 15 bucks for both. Dries ROCK hard, very durable. Working time is maybe an hour and a half. Even stickier than greenstuff at first! Let it sit maybe 15 min then work it. Water to thin, mash same as greenstuff. I like it. | | Good judgement comes from wisdom. Wisdom comes from bad judgement. Member Team ROH Qwijoma on Wizards Boards | |

| Cheddar bearer you are correct. But I didn't feel like layering alot of epoxy. This is a lean, mean Ulgurstasta! And I didn't forget about you mama. Will pm the name of the epoxy (forgot to write it down while painting [:(]). Anyhoo, did some work on it last night. Still need to add one or two highlights, finish the claws, teeth, and base and eyes.
pics a lil fuzzy. don't take pics while sleepy :P

| Beautiful work. I'm tempted to try this myself (never sculpted anything so BIG before though)[:D]. I'll wait and see how many purple worms turn up in my cases of WotDQ (yep, still waiting).
Great job though - I like it a lot more than the FF pic (though a bit of droooool might add a lot to it, if you can manage to get some drippy clear epoxy to 'stay' until it dries). The drool just screams evil hunger.
Let us see the finished article when you're done? ΖD] | |
