| Front Back Second try
I'm ready to chuck this camera out the window. [:(!]
I didn't strip or primer this one, just repainted over the existing paint job. I tried to do Laduguer's broken arrow symbol on the back of the tunic, with less than stunning results. Still, better than leaving it blank.

| Interesting.
Despite my love for Duergar, I don't think I've ever really considered repainting any regular dwarves. Of course, not being in a RPG, it'd just be for grins and giggles. But still...
I think I'd give it another dose (or two) of a black wash. Duergar aren't known for their crisp, clean colors. Things should be pretty dull and dingy. But otherwise a good take on the Warpriest. I like it. | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

| You may want to try taking the pic from a different distance (closer if you're too far away, further away if your camera is really close). It almost looks like the camera is too close to the mini and thus unable to focus on the mini. Also, are you using a tripod? Tripods are key (or anything relatively stable...I think Peter Lee uses a bag o' sand).
I'll echo the comment that you probably need a blackwash. Duergar are pretty dingy critters. Aside from that, it looks pretty good. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. | it looks good but I will echo the blackwash; it gives a miniature life, unless you are a war drums blackwasher, then you are just drowning them.

| Drab those colors up a bit. Dark grey metals, dark bronzes, etc.
If you like converting dwarves into duergar, the Dwarf Merc makes a -great- Duergar Blackguard, and it's a very simple conversion. | | Champion of the Aboleth, Prophet of Denizens. BW Called Shot: Babau, UH Called Shot: Aspect of Vecna

| The dwarf being bald make him a perfect canidate for this conversion. It think its great. This would have been more welcome than the regular Warpriest..We already had 2 clerics of Moradin...did we really need a 3rd? | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight | |

| And it would have made one hell of a repaint from WotC, too.
