Thanks to everyone who commented kindly on the castle. It get's it's first gaming outing next weekend. The adventure I had written for it was designed to last a full day, but I recently got asked to extend it to 2 days, so I have added a sewer and a dragon's lair to the castle. I attach a few pix of the sewer below. There will be more to follow. Frank

Here are a few more pix of the sewers, with the final one showing the entrance to the dragon's lair Frank

And now onto the Dragon's lair. The scenario is complex, so I won't bore you with that here, but the model I have used is termed 2.5D as it is little more than dungeon tiles with a number of 3D props. It's easier to build than the castle or sewers, but still pretty effective I think. Frank

Finally, we move onto the final encounter, where our intrepid heroes need to free the cute little red dragon from the clutches of the evil black dragon (don't ask !). Frank

That looks really cool. I was wondering how did you make the 2.5d bit. Where those dungeon tiles created by you? Did you use a computer and if so what program. Sorry to be so curious its just I have been thinking about doing likewise myself and wa curious how you did it.

Hi The 2.5D comes from a set of PDFs released by a company called WorldWorks Games (as do the 3D Castle and Sewer System). This particular set is called DungeonLinx:Lair of the Dragon God. There are more 2.5D sets planned for 2007. You can purchase the PDFs quite cheaply, although printing and mounting the tiles plus building the props can be time consuming and involve more expense. I think the result is worth it. You can check the company out at http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/ Frank

Under the castle? No! It's too good to be true! You'll ruin it!

Just kidding. This is great. I feel so bad for your players when they open the door to that last room. Those dragons will be cake, but the blckspawn might give them trouble.

Beautiful stuff. But, that last fight sure looks like some kind of a TPK, unless of course all of your PC's are about to ascend to god-hood.

Hi all, thanks for the positive feedback. The PCs in this party are tough (15th level-ish), but not up to taking both the black dragon AND the red dragon. For those of you who are interested, there are some pics of the actual adventure (and a short commentary) here http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3744 Frank

Quite excellent! I love especially those severs, sewers are everywhere... and those huge critters fit in there very well!

Good work!
