I'm not sure if this has already been discussed, but I find when using hot glue you can get pretty good strands that look like webs.

Hot glue is awesome for doing webbing.  Just watch your fingertips, I've burned myself pretty bad a couple times.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Hi,

Thanks - that's an idea I have not heard of.  I usually melt sprues till just before they catch fire and pull them out for hard plastic wires of various thicknesses.  (They look very realistic on military and Warhammer 40K models).   So, I would have just tried using them for webs.  The problem is that they are brittle and are only practical for static models.

Your idea is much better.  Now that I'm thinking about it, you could create the web on wax paper laying flat, which won't easily stick to the glue.  Once it dries, peel it off and place it where you want.  It also sounds like a great way to add "strings" on bows. (it always bothers me that all those d&d minis have no strung bows !)
