That particular whip took somewhere in the ballpark of 10-12 hours to paint. Other minis take a lot longer or a little less (rarely under 6 hours, rarely over 25 hours) depending on size and whether I'm painting display-quality or table-top quality.
I'm just finishing my army-style repaints for the Keep on the Shadowfell. Even painting army-style (all of the same sculpt at once with minor variations) I'm still dropping about 4-6 hours per mini (not per monster, but per mini). Things go a lot faster after the large area layering is done (i.e. skin/cloth) and I get to highlighting/details (takes a steadier hand and more time per stroke but there are substantially fewer strokes).
