Here is a map i am almost completed...I present my take on a swamp map...all polystyrene construction (pink styrofoam) and the water is Envirotech light (pour on laquer). Sand, static grass, fine turf and crushed rock are a few other components used in this map. The various dead bodies are hacked up mage knight figures. These pics are all details from the first section opf the map i have completed (20"X24")
Overhead View:
A more angled birdseye view:
A close-up of a skeleton on the bottom of the swamp:
Birds-eye close-up of swamp tree and snake. (snake made from brownstuff/kneadatite=2 part modelling epoxy):
Close-up of a decomposing body on the swamps floor beneath the surface:
Small brownstuff snakes!!:
Giant centipede carcass.(and hiding black viper):

Wow!
Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.
wicked cool

Now that's spiffy. Love the little details (esp. the corpse decomposing in the water).

Very fine work. I love the contrast between the shading in the water and the mossy stones as shown in the first two photos.

Ther contrast between the runins and then watbert es realy nice. It looksambost like aztecs ruibins.

Now let me dream here: Wizards would use the best story writers to make an adventure that will take player characters from level 1 to 20.
You would provide terrains for every single encounter and zenthrus would paint every miniature....

Well that's a pretty drunk post from me. However the intoxicated Gent is right. The piece is quite fantastic.

Very nice work RedSkullz. I like how it is not just terrain and water - that there look to be shallow areas and stepping stones. A very nice touch.

That was an extremely hard map to get good pics of...the water looks just awesome in real life. The first time i showed someone the water they asked "Is it safe to touch ". I replied "Hard as a rock, 1/4 inch or deeper solid laquer is tough!"
