| With RedSkullz putting together some Egyptian terrain for pulp wargaming/roleplaying for me. I figured I'd dig up some of my old pictures of pulp minis I've done.
First we have Mummies! These are some of the old GW mummies back when they did RPG minatures. These guys are a little on the small side. Once I dig up my digital camera I'll do a comparison shot with my Reaper mummies. Anyways these guys are going to be the Bread and Butter for my 1930's Egyptian Adventure game.

| Speaking of reaper Mummies, here are a couple from the Dark Heaven line. I need to dig them up and re-base them so they match the rest of my undead horde.
This gent is one of their early mummy sculpts. I think it's still quite good however.

This is a later mummy sculpt. Some sort of champion or mid level manager mummy.

| Here are two of my favorite Authors from the 1930's. Howard Phillips Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard. The minis of course are not them precisely. The Lovecraft mini is a bit of a stretch, but it's the best oneI have. The one for Howard is pretty spot on I feel. Both of them are still a semi work in progress. HPL needs some more work on his base. REH needs some detail touchups and them some basework.

| Here's a couple of Daring Explorers / Adventurers with an strange Idol they have discovered. The idol is a solid bronze piece I did back in Art School, it weighs over 12lbs.

| This is a mini clearly meant to be the chap from the Mummy series of Movies.

| Just a gentleman in a suit. He could be an Ally or an Adversary. He also might make a better HPL mini actually...

| Speaking of the Gentleman from Providence. Here's a closeup of him being menaced by one of Herbert West's experiments.

| I love modifying and repainting Heroclix miniatures. They have been one of the cheaper and handy mini lines for Adventure and Modern role playing. This is Batman's ally the Huntress. All I did realy was turn her hand Crossbows into pistols and give her a new base. Pretty simple stuff. Hardly what I'd consider a repaint.

| Pulp Horror FTW!!
Super work. We're running Call of Cthulhu right now so it's really cool to see this genre in minis.
Cool statue too, though a bit heavy for the battlemat I suppose...you could always re-cast a version in resin if you still have the mold though? It might be a nice item to sell/trade if you can cast it that way. It would certainly be a cool peice to paint (a resin cast copy of course, not the original!) | |
