| Has anyone prgressed farther in their plans for the construction fo their game tables? Any photos?
I'm still in the planning phase. I anticipate that planning will continue for at least another 4 or 5 months (til summer), as I want to make it functional for D&D, functional for other purposes, attractive, and as compact as possible while still serving a DM + 4 to 6 players. Right now, I'm focusing on how I can make sure that:
1. each player will have sufficient table space for their character, writing utensils, dice, figures, calculators, drinks, etc ...,
2. the play surface is maxmimized and efficient (so that each player can reach every place on the board,
3. each location at the table has sufficient storage area for books and other reference materials, and
4. (the tricky part) the total ares of the table + chairs is minimized.
Right now, it is a difficult battle. I've hit on some nice ideas, but scoping it out to make sure that there is ample leg room, elbow room, book room, space to roll dice, etc ... is tricky. | |
