| Kinda cool.
Can someone explain to me what this is? I haven't been paying attention but now I do, but don't want to read the 9+ pages about it. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | Well some of it looks interesting, and others look kind of silly. It is like a cross between a regular MtG monster and a monster from Unglued.

| | That Dragon alone is reason enough for me to hunt down singles of this stuff to fill RPG needs. And it looks like the black base can be removed, which may put it a bit more to scale. | | Champion of the Alhoon and my called shot for Unhallowed Blood War Called Shot: Phoenix Trade withe me! | |

| Thanks Chris!
Hmmm, that blue dragon is crap compared to DDM's Large Blue. The clear plastic is indeed something cool but not liking the caricature-like monsters.
It also looks like the mini is actually glued to a smaller plate that goes into the bse, which perhaps could be detachable and therefore, if applicable, some minis could be RPG friendly. Hopefully they are not expensive.
I hope we see some clear plastic being used on DDM soon, it seems every other miniature game has it and dreamblade's dragon is using it in a moderated way that is not overwhelming the miniature. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! From looking at the pictures and then looking at the discription, it looks like the figure's base stays in the space it is in, but the text is writen on the smaller base. You can then lift the figure out and leave the larger base to mark its location. If that is how it works, that is an interesting concept. | | Sean Banks Champion of Elementals Official Organizer Gen Con 05 maxminis Event | Winterfantasy 06 maxminis Event | Gen Con 06 maxminis Event | Winterfantasy 07 Community Event

Not just the large CRD ... but on a smaller one.
The news for DDM is good ...
Remember that Miek commented that they are closer in size to a large from DDM, so we could still have hope for a large G Cube in clear plastic! They are definitely smaller then the CRD or GBD. | | Sean Banks Champion of Elementals Official Organizer Gen Con 05 maxminis Event | Winterfantasy 06 maxminis Event | Gen Con 06 maxminis Event | Winterfantasy 07 Community Event

So this is why DDM hasn't gotten any clear minis. WOTC is putting clear minis in the game.
Well here is hoping that we should see them
You're looking at this from the wrong angle.
- DDM is getting clear minis. CRD is confirmed at the least. - DDM sculpts have a baseline against which they are judged (the full portfolio of artwork that already exists) ... and thus more time must be taken to ensure they are represented correctly or else the community roasts WOTC. - This set of Dreamblade is not due to be released until GenCon. - WotDQ is due prior to that. Might we not get clear plastic in that set?
Wouldn't you rather they got clear plastic working right before the started to willy-nilly try to put it in DDM and end up with a bunch of less-than-what-you-want DDM pieces? | | Triangle DDM Skirmish Group | My Email | 45-ish trades and counting | Stuff for Trade * * * Show your brother some love and click here * * *

| Those additional rules and flavor text things look like they're on the BOTTOM of the base, not on a removable area. I didn't get the impression that the stat block is removable. That would make for a pretty confusing collection if the bases/stats and mini came apart IMO. | | *WoTC Delegate (Chicago)* :=: My Trade Thread :=: DISPUTED TRADE WITH TREE DRUID!!!!!!!! | |

| | I think Wizards will see how the clear plastic works in this game before they put it into DnD Minis. It'll be the same thing as with Star Wars minis. They'll try out a load of different ideas and then take the good ones and pop them into the "favorite" game. | | Champion of the Tohr-Kreen. WotDQ Called Shot: Fang Dragon. | |
