I'd just like to say, Go Us.

It seems like just yesterday that the news of Dreamblade's release appeared. Oh, wait, it was... Even when everyone was worked up, even when everyone felt betrayed (rightly or wrongly), we kept it relatively civil and managed to discuss why we were worried and which of our concerns was valid. Seems like everyone has cooled off a bit now, we've decided not to rant any more, and we've already got a forum to discuss the new game up, with people organizing information about the game, designer responses to questions, and spoilers threads.

This is awesome. I've been in way too many communities, both real and online, where the immaturity would have continued, unabated, for MONTHS. This includes places I've worked. Kudos to Chris Groves and others for routing our energy the right way with a new forum immediately, and kudos to the users for not being like so many other groups in the world.

Personally, though I wish DDM got the financial support DB will recieve, I'm looking forward to trying this one out. I plan on playing both games, especially if we can get a Vassal mod up and running soon. With any luck, MaxMinis will come to lead Dreamblade the same way we've come to lead the DDM skirmish community. That means everyone having fun, helping each other, increasing the maturity level of the game.

And hopefully we'll be winning some serious prizes along the way. :)

Sorry for the touchy-feely BS, but I really do appreciate this. Go MaxMinis.

This is what makes this group great, and why we get the designers to comment. If we were a group of idiots or immature ravers, then they would most likely pass us by, but we try to keep everything civil even when there is disagreement.

I would bet that this is why when we hold events for Maxminis at Con, we get some of the WotC guys that want to come and play. It also helps that the WotC guys are all great Ian, Mike, Shoe, Jesse, and all the rest. The post, ask for responses, hang out, and play against the members here.

Forget about the touchy-feely BS, but remember these are the best fan boards out there!

I concur. After dealing with the silliness involved with SWTCG, Ultima Online and WoW official and fan-made forums it is nice to be able to enjoy a game and have decent, non-Trolling discussions about it.

Now there are two games that I am interested in and can come here to discuss. [:D]
