What do your Fear, Passion, Valor, and Madness look like? We want you to dust off your paint brushes, sketchpads, and image software and give us your artistic representation of any of the four aspects of Wizards’ new collectible miniatures game, Dreamblade. A panel of forum moderators and members of Dreamblade R&D will decide the winners.
Prize: Dreamblade Boneblade Serpent GAMA promo miniature and Custom Avatar on the Wizards forums.
Critical Dates: Submission deadline is Wednesday, May 11, 2006 midnight PST. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 1, 2006.
Judging Categories
Dream lords spawn creatures from their subconscious emotions, which affects the nature of the creatures. There are four aspects that creatures spawn from: Valor, Madness, Fear and Passion. See this web page for more details on the four aspects. A winner will be named for each of the following:
Age 16 and overBest Overall: Based on judges’ votes, this title is awarded to the single entry with the most votes, regardless of the aspect represented.
Best Interpretation – Valor

The Dream Lord Award
The WizO moderation team will name one community member as exhibiting exceptional sportsmanship and participation in the forums throughout the contest. It is possible to win this award without submitting art to the contest.
Submitted artwork remains the artist’s own. Artist agrees that Wizards of the Coast may reproduce the winning submission(s) on the Wizards of the Coast website and the online magazine Knowledge Arcana. All winners will be required to submit a release form.

Dreamblade Aspect Art Contest Rules
1. No purchase necessary. The Dreamblade Aspect Art Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States subject to eligibility guidelines below. Void where prohibited by law. The Contest begins at 5:00 p.m. PST on April 20, 2006 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PST on May 11, 2006. This Contest is sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, Inc. (“Wizards”). YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO MAKE A PURCHASE OR PROVIDE OTHER CONSIDERATION TO ENTER OR WIN.
2. Eligibility: The Contest is open to any legal resident of the United States. Employees of Wizards, its affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, agents, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies, and fulfillment companies, and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of their same households (related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Contest. There is no age limit to participate.
3. How to enter: What do your Fear, Passion, Valor, and Madness look like? We want you to dust off your paint brushes, sketchpads, and image software and give us your artistic representation of any of the four aspects of Wizards’ new collectible miniatures game, Dreamblade.
Provide your submission to us by attaching it in .jpeg format, to the Dreamblade Aspect Art Contest forum, http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=631. All entries must be received by Wizards no later than May 11, 2006.
Your forum profile must have a working e-mail address so that you may be contacted in the event of making a winning submission.
No more than four contest submissions per person.
Submissions must be attached to a post in the contest forum located at http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=631
Submissions must be in .jpg format (anything else may not display properly).
Submissions must be no larger than 600x800 pixels (or 800x600 pixels for a vertical rather than horizontal image).
Submissions must be your own original work however manipulation of stock images/photos is permitted.
Stock images/photos used as part of a submission must be credited to the photographer/artist responsible.
Submissions must not violate the Code of Conduct and be no more than PG-13 subject matter. Failure to do so will result in your disqualification. If you are unsure of some subject matter, please contact the forum moderator for assistance.
Each submissions must be accompanied by the following information in the post:
Age Bracket: 15 and under/16 and over
Submission Title:
Aspect Represented: Valor, Passion, Fear, Madness
Medium: Pen, Ink, Digital, Photography, etc.
Background: Short statement on what you've used to create that image (i.e., hand-drawn with prismacolors to color, photoshop, etc). and anything else you wish us to know about the submission.
4. Judging: Eleven (11) winners will be chosen from among all posted submissions to receive Dreamblade Boneblade Serpent GAMA promo miniature and choose a Custom Avatar on the Wizards forums.
The final winner will be posted on the Dreamblade Aspect Art Contest forum, on or before June 1, 2006. All decisions made by Wizards on all matters relating to this Contest are binding. Winners will be notified by e-mail. If winners are unable to be contacted at the email address they provided within seven (7) days after attempts are made, winner will be disqualified and prize may not be awarded at Wizard’s sole discretion.

6. Prize and Approximate Retail Value: Eleven (11) winners will receive Dreamblade Boneblade Serpent GAMA promo miniature and choose a Custom Avatar on the Wizards forums. Prize has no retail value.
Prize is not transferable. Winner will be required to sign and return, within 7 days of notification an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity. Noncompliance with this requirement, return of prize/prize notification as undeliverable, or failure to comply with any terms of these Official Rules will result in a winner’s disqualification.
7. Conditions: Wizards and its agencies are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alterations of, entry materials, or failure to receive any entry information. Further, Wizards and its agencies are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, destroyed, delayed, illegible, postage-due or incomplete entries. Wizards reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or cancel the Contest. By participating in the Contest, entrant agrees to release and hold Wizards, its directors, officers, employees, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, agencies and all prize suppliers, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, whether suffered by entrant or a third party. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. All winners, on behalf of themselves, their executors, heirs and assigns, by acceptance of a prize, agree to release Wizards from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or otherwise. By accepting a prize, each winner grants Wizards permission to use his/her name and likeness for advertising and future promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). This Contest is subject to these Official Rules. Failure to comply with The Official Rules will result in disqualification. An entrant’s entries will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of Wizards, if he or she attempts (a) to enter the Contest through any means other than described in these Official Rules; or (b) to disrupt the Contest, circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, or in any way tamper with any component of the Contest.
