| I've heard from several people who have the demo game that Dreamblade is basically "Magic with Minis."
Is there any truth to this? I ask because I've been playing Magic for going on 6-7 years now and it's really something I highly enjoy and I'm wondering if I'd enjoy this game as well. | | Completed Trades: Krush, Christof, qillan_dvra, Kithmaker

| It can feel very "combolicious" at times, when you bash with your huge guy and then his friend with Skirmish moves him into the next cell for an extra attack.
Also, paying attention to your "mana curve" seems to be pretty important during construction. | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? Did I miss something fun?" -Vindicated champion of Tordek, Dwarf Champion

| | I actually feel like the mechanics of DB are very similar to Duel Masters. Anyone played that one? Anyone...? | | "It's an automatic robot, based on science." | |

There's quite a bit of truth to it. But it also includes the accumulated wisdom of years and years of experience with Magic, and as such offers certain improvements. The big one is that it's impossible to get mana screwed since you and your opponent are essentially working from the same pool of mana. (This is something of an over-simplification, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a big improvement.) | | Dreamblade Generator

| The game seems to be an excellent meshing of a few different inspirations. I find it hard to compare it to anything directly, but what I've read so far seems excellent.
It seems to combine the "combo" element of Magic, with the strategy of a Miniatures combat game. at the same time, I feel the backstory could be solid as well. All in all, rather complete. | | Official Delegate, Wizards of the Coast Against The Giants Called Shot: Huge Green Dragon Icons Called Shot: Gargantuan Prismatic Dragon
