| I thought I'd start this thread and ask what, if any, amazing things you've seen or done while playing or watching a game of Dreamblade.
At our first local Edge event, my opponent won initiative. He shifted his two Bloodthirsty Redcaps and Cannibal Pariah into a cell occupied by my lone Zombie Enforcer. He then chose to strike. Out of 10 dice, he did 2 damage. One strike later, his Redcaps were dead and my Zombie hadn't acted yet.

| Well when i was playing my 11(ish) dice with 2 rerolls managed to deal a whopping 25 damage-killing 3 creatures in a cell(the only blade ability being a +4 for flanking), and the turn before the opponents creatures hit for nothing on 8 dice(i think  . | |

| I’ve had a Boneclan hunter survive three strikes in which 6 dice were thrown each strike. My opponent was unhappy.
In your case with 10 dice he had about a 90% chance getting 6 or more
damage and killing the Zombie… that never does sound right, but hey.
Anyway, that’s like throwing 2d6 and needing a 4 or higher, or a d20
and needing a 3 or higher. Yes you’d probably bet the game farm on a
90% shot, but we’ve all played enough games to know that getting diced
happens, and aren’t too surprised when it does.
In DB there’s a view (not saying it’s in this thread, it just seemed an
appropriate place to say it) that it’s too ‘luck dependent’ because the
dice can be fickle. Especially with DB dice – having ‘zero’ as 1/3 of
the values per die means that a bad roll can be really bad. But that’s
a misperception. Odds are odds. Know them and you’ll do better than if
you don’t.
And always remember, sometimes you just can’t beat them.

| I got diced the other day.
3 games.
With one exception Every Other Roll for inititive had a 1. (Out of 29 total initive rolls).
None of the spawn rounds had a spawn higher than 8.
Yes I was playing a Janus Warpstrike band and none of my low drop creatures converted to spawn.
I hope I never see this again. | |

| Not quite sure how amazing this is, but during one strike phase in a square where I was able to role 17 dice, I ended up rolling a whopping total of 9 and a blade  !! On my opponents turn, he got to role 17 dice on me in one attack, and did 33 damage!! (I lost that game) | |

| Dreambalde 20k tournament. 6th round or so.
Tied, 5 rounds won each. I go first.
I lock up a bunch of scoring cells and contest a mess of them. I eliminate one of his guys, putting me up on points. I've got good position with strong-enough pieces and he can't figure out a good strike/shift combination to get the win. His only hope (and you know where this is going) ... his Spellbound Scissors versus my Chrysalis Spinner in the 2 block. He shifts in, then strikes and disrupts me for the win. | |

| | It took 4 tournements for Jim Bok and I to play each other. The irony is we are both from Orlando. We sit down to the first match at the Dragon Con 1k. Both of us are running the Chessbeater. Mirror match extreme. We go 7 rounds before a point is scored. Some rounds were exact mirrors others were different but neither one could get up on the other. Round 7 I get over on Jim and its down hill for him from there. He couldn't roll to save his life and I rolled almost double the odds the rest of the game. It was the funnest match I have ever had. Jim enjoyed it as well, both of us laughing the whole time. | |

| | I was just playing against a passion/valor band and he had a cottage in the 2 block making it difficult to stay there and fight, so I placed my Reaper in there. He tried to move a Handmaiden and a Charm in there and I killed both with the Reaper. He quit after that. I can't believe the luck I have with this piece. Rock on Reaper!! | | | |

| My girlfriend marched her Knight of Strife & Joy and Noble Dragon through 4 cells, getting two blades each time (one for the Dragon's Payback, one for the Knight's Skirmish 2), wiping out all ym figures as she went.
That'll teach me to get her hooked on new games...

| That would also teach you to know the rules and tell your gf that the
creatures can't skirmish themselves with their own ability. pwnzorz

| I watched a guy on vassal the other day travel across at least 5 cells with a Punisher, Succubus, and 2 KoSJ in the last Skirmish he moved out the succubus to a scoring cell and so, for the turn, rolled 96 dice and killed everything on the board -
2 Brighthammers, Hawkeye, Lunar and several others total about 7 creatures I think..
its was 3 - 3 at that point and his opponent had maybe 3 more creatures to spawn - he conceded.

| Turn-1 I spawned 2 barbstriders & a Kt.Pain&Sorrow. My opponent surprised me by spawing just one creature (a Brighthammer Avenger)
I won VP turn-2 (obviously) but the brighthammer proceed to munch it's way through most of my creatures. I finally got it stopped by sacrificeing the last weenie to play an Eater-of-Hope...
