Lost Goblin Games in north Raleigh will be holding a store-sponsored tournament next Saturday starting at 12 noon. This will be a "Booster-Plus" tournament: bring nine figures of your choice and buy one booster to fill out your warband. We thought this would make it as close as possible to the challenge and luck-of-the-draw of a sealed/booster draft tournament, while only requiring one booster to be purchased so everyone who wants to play can afford to! Yes, there will be prizes. Hope to see you there--

I would love to play this format; unfortunatey busy on the 16th. Is your schedule going to remain weekends? How many folks are you drawing?

Right now we're keeping Edge tournaments on Sundays because that's when there's room in the store schedule and nobody has replied otherwise to the poll on rtp_dreamblade in which I asked what day is good for them. We had 12 people for our first tournament, but only 5 for our first Edge tournament. Thing is, our first Edge was Labor Day weekend and Dragoncon weekend, so we expected numbers to be down. Tuesday is our open play night, and we got about six for that last week. We'll see how that goes, and if it works out we may have tournaments on some Tuesdays or move Edge tournaments to then. We're kind of playing it by ear at the moment, trying to please the largest number of people with what's available on the schedule...

That's pretty exciting. This Saturday is the first home bout of the Carolina Rollergirls at Dorton Arena at the fairgrounds versus Las Vegas. There is no way I could miss that. Sunday is a practice day though, and I usually drive by your place on the way from the rink to the mother in laws house - what are your store hours on Sunday?

Go Rollergirls! Sunday we open at noon, Edge starts at 2:00, and we're open till between 6 and 7, whenever the RPGA game gets finished. I don't know if we'll have even less of a turnout for the Edge tournament when we had a store tourney the day before, but I guess we'll find out!
