| http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=698582&goto=newpost has stats for the "Butcher" a Common from the next expansion. spawn-6F 4/7/10 lineage-Stiched.with a spawn cost of "CorpseBuilt" "Sacrifice this creature unless you put a creature from your reserves into your graveyard".
It's marginally(+14%) above average in cost-effectiveness. e.g. The Blight Rat has exactly the same stats & costs 1 spawn point more. To save that spawn point you have to dump a creature streight in the graveyard. With Carrion Spiker in the warband that could have some advantages. But since the saving is a drop from spawn-7 to spawn-6 thats possibly the least valuable spot on the spawn-curve to save 1 point. If the set has a similar creature higher or lower on the spawn curve, that will be a lot more interesting.

| Unless theres' some other "Stitched" boosting in the set or some game effect beyond Thanatomancy that drives off of creatures in your graveyard, I think KoAG will be a better choice in almost any situation. Better stats for the same price and the oft handy tactical play of removing a creature from an opponents reach AND at least you got some utility out of the doomed creature before he got sacked.
At first glance I thought it might play well with the Grave Harvest ability...
Grave Harvest - Whenever a local or adjacent Stitched ally is destroyed, put a different Stitched from your graveyard into your reserves.
...but will putting a creature from your reserves into your graveyard count as "destroyed"? - I doubt it.
But there's 55 other figs yet to see so - who know???
It'll be fun though. | | | |

| Well don't forget that by throwing a creature into your graveyard from
a faction you haven't yet spawned, you are also effectively saving in
the Aspect cost of the miniature you chuck in future spawns. So in a
way it's a much better early-game unit than you give it credit for.

| Well he is cheaper than koAG, since you don't have to pay for the Parriah first. But still I'd see the Blight Rat as a better deal considering the stats. As for feeding the Spikers the Aspect bargain thing is a nice touch.
I do like the sculpt though, like a Dickens character on PCP. | | Two trades completed!! (Krush,Hides From Hurricanes) Champion of the Aaracokra Herald Of Snig Goblin King

| How's that gonna work with Marian's Grave Harvest?
These things aren't really destroyed, so can they come back? | | Two trades completed!! (Krush,Hides From Hurricanes) Champion of the Aaracokra Herald Of Snig Goblin King

Destroyed is a combat result, so there is no chance that reserves to graveyard will count as destroyed, we already have that ability in the current Fear set.

Good point; On some spawn rolls it will save you a net 2 spawn points. One because it's only a spawn-6 (instead of the approx spawn-7 for those stats) And a 2nd by allowing you to spawn another unit for 1 less aspect cost. That puts it near the better units in the base set, instead of just above the unplayable rubbish. However you do need to get an appropriate spawn roll early...

| it's a location with a double-blade ability - double-blade Warpstrike 7. there's also text stating that you can assign blades from your figures' combat in that cell to the tower (which only makes sense, since locations don't roll attack dice).
It's the BIG purple thing, by the way. | | Owner of The Original Rust Monsters! | Latest preview;
Claw-Clan Scout; 3V 2/4/5 B-Skirmish [Bloodcut] That is as cost effective as the scarab warcharm. Without the Multi-Blade Advance, it's not quite as perfect a combo with the Kt.S&J But the lower spawn cost compensates for that. Good thing it's Uncommon or the singles cost would be obscene.
Temple Lion; 8V 4/7/7 "Protect" Protect is an odd version of bodyguard, that should work very well with Madness creatures & poorly with most others. 'course, most madness creatures don't really need bodyguards (not even this wierd version) So I'd only expect to see it played with the warpstrikers, Ego Cannibal Depending on how Protect works with Bodyguard, it might make the Zungar Bodyguard playable.
Pearlthorn Gargoyle; 10V 5/9/11 Flux Ward. gains +X defence/life in a scoreing cell (X = score for cell) To reach par with a Loyal scragglemaw or Inscribed Axebeast. This needs to be in at least a vp3 cell. If you can predictably get this thing into the vp4/5 cells your already so far ahead you don't need it. So I don't expect to see it played much. Unless there's another ability in the set which combos with it. (But that caveat is a given in any CMG) | | Don't worry about the current metagame.
