| Hello All,
1) "Re-roll Ties" - During the spawn phase, players are tied at 3 rounds won a piece - Each player rolls a 1 - It is a tie - So do they skip the spawn phase, but re-roll the tie to see who goes first? Or do they reroll the whole result of the spawn phase. In the example above they would re-roll and say get a 4 and a 3, thereby having 7 spawn points during the spawn phase.
2) "Score Abilities" - For example, Rainforest Shaman - Does the cell have to be uncontested in order to use the bonus? Or does the character have to just be in a cell that is a scoring cell, and whether it is contested is of no importance.
3) "Moving and Striking Again" - Player 1 has a Knight of Tomorrow, Griffin in Cell A with an oppoenent's pieces in the same cell. In Cell B Player 1 has no pieces, but Player 2 has a Pick-pick.
Player 1 strikes in Cell A and gets a blade. The knight of tomorrow allows him to move an engaged ally. Player 1 moves the Griffin to Cell B. Can Player 1 choose to now resolve the strike of Cell B and thereby use the Griffins 4 power? Since it states that you resolve combat one cell at a time, and Cell B has not been resolved yet, does this essentially mean the Griffin gets to strike twice?
4) Same questions as 3, wtih one difference. At the start of the round Player 1 has a piece in Cell B. Otherwise the same sequence of events unfold. Any changes to the way it is handled?
Thanks!
Jared

| 1) The whole result of the spawn phase is determined based on the rerolled numbers. Although I don't find a clear reference that states that and I haven't seen that particular situation, in tournaments, spawn totals are determined based on rerolled numbers, not the original rolls. You could conceivably roll two 4s, have to reroll, and then have one player roll a 1, resulting in no spawn phase. So it could go either way. 2) No, it doesn't have to be uncontested. That's right on page 6 of the rule book 3) Yes, the Griffin can make a strike in cell B after combat is resolved in cell A. That's clearly discussed on page 13. 4) The only way it might change is if player 1 made the mistake of resolving combat in cell B before combat in cell A. In that case, the Griffin could not move to B and also get to strike there, because combat would have been resolved for that cell already. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

As usual (always) Faragdar is 100% correct.
The reference you want for this ruling is the dreamblade FAQ;

Initiative and Dice Rolling
Q: How does rerolling dice work? The glossary definition just covers attack dice.
A: Rerolling attack dice and initiative dice work the same way. Any time a die is rerolled, the previous result is ignored. Additionally, there is a rule for tournaments that has players reroll so that consecutive spawn phases aren’t skipped:

| | Well, I certainly don't know everything about this game. I'm still learning plenty, but I do try to avoid answering questions unless I'm sure of the answer. Thanks for the reference. I'm glad that question is answered in the FAQ. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |
