| I came second in the sheffield 1K playiing this "Wheel of Death" warband;
2 x Chaos Puppeteers 1 x Dark Heart Cottage 2 x Kitsune 2 x Pearlthorn castle 2 x Brighthammer Avenger 1 x Fleshless reaper 2 x Clawclan scouts 1 x baxar 1 x Scarab warcharm 1 x Knight of S&J 1 x Whilwind dervish.
MVP: Chaos Puppeteer Weakest Link: Baxar
This shattered every warband with a conventional spawn curve that it met. And had difficulty only with warbands using Hearstblood temples to overpower it. Even those didn't have easy wins. And in hindsight, the core of the warband worked perfectly, the other 7 units could be swapped for creatures more effective against that type of warband. Just adding a hammerhead would increase the options to win, before HBT gains enough of a spawn-advantage.

| Cool- Congrats! I go to mifirst $1K next weekend.
The band looks good. I have to agree - the Puppeteer always seems to find a way into my bands, he's just good - especailly with B-hammers and Reapers.
I love Kitsune, although it always seems lacking when I use just 2, I always find myself saying "man, I could really beat up my opponent right now if I had just one more attract..."
So were it me I might trade Baxar out for another Kitsune or possibly for another Reaper.
Interested to know what beat you though.

| What beat me was mainly the dice. My opponent played 2 Heartsblood temples (passion of the reapers) and then we had a succession of spawn rolls = 5. So I was spawing a single (usually cost-3 creature) While he was getting spawn-9 for the next 3 consecutive turns.
In general my warband has a hard time against passion of the reapers. Because they need multiple attacks to kill a single large creature. The Chaos Puppeteers can supply those attacks. But given the low spawn-rolls I was simply out-numbered.
The warband I beat in the semi-final was a Bloodcut swarm. with 2 heartsblood temples and lots of valor/passion bloodcut. But it clearly needed deathblows to compensate for the low defenses of it's passion creatures. And most of the units I destroyed were hit in the spawn phase by charge/ambush.

| Interesting and Congratulations.
3 locations, I am assuming, was to place Puppeteers in play immediately?
Regardless that's innovative, I would agree a second Reaper would be nice, I may steal this if you don't mind. I have a friend preping for a 10k. | | Two trades completed!! (Krush,Hides From Hurricanes) Champion of the Aaracokra Herald Of Snig Goblin King
