| The Initiative dice randomizer for the dreamblade system on this site seriously needs a fix. It's hard to prove that something that's supposed to be random is broken but on 3 separate games now, 50% or more of the initiative dice rolled have been 1's. On top of that, it seems to roll the same numbers over and over again. I really hope someone can fix this because it makes the games rather annoying when you have to miss your spawn phase literally every other turn..
PS. In my latest 2 games in 8 initiative rolls I rolled a 2 7 out of 8 times so the problem is clearly not just with the 1s alone.

| Don't know if this helps any but I just tested a couple rolls in a row with the initiative dice just to see what would happen and the results were...peculiar at best:
4,4,5,4,1,5,5,4,2,3,3,6,2,6,3,1,4,2,6,1, 4,1,6,2,5,2,3,1,5,3,1,2,2,2,1,1,3,1,1,2, 1,3,3,3,2,2,3,1,4
As you can see it seems to continuously roll a combination of two or three numbers over and over again and then it switches to another set etc. Particularly the last series where there are no less than NINETEEN rolls of 1,2 or 3 before anything else (a 4) is rolled again, is mindboggling as well as 7 out of the first 8 rolls being 4s or 5s. I imagine similar results would come out of other tests since this does seem to be consistent with the general pattern I've seen in Dreamblade games on this site so far.
PS. Interestingly enough, after another roll it would appear that certain patterns of numbers are also repeating themselves. For example this roll:
6,4,1,4,1,2,2,2,2,1,5,1,3,6,2,3,4,5,6,6,1,2, 4,6,2,3,4,1,6,1,4,3,6,4,6,5,6,4,3,1,2,2,6,4, 1,4,6,1,3,1
I'm not a mathematician but it seems to me that 6,1,4 combinations in whatever order appear to be recurring every so often. You can see it in both the first and the second set of rolls. This is howmany of each number were rolled in both rolls:
1: 23 2: 20 3: 16 4: 17 5: 8 6: 14
This shows what most players I talked to feel as well, namely that there are more 1s and 2s being rolled than anything else (and apparently hardly any 5s).
More importantly though, you can clearly see how games can become very annoying this way. For example a game held in the section of 19 numbers below 4 would result in a game with absurdly low spawn. Hope these results help in illuminating the problem a little

| OK the dice system has been totally replaced. It is now using numbers generated by atmospheric radio noise (!). The numbers now are totally random (not generated by the PC). Heres the results of 3000 random initiative rolls:
| 1s 494 | | 2s 488 | | 3s 501 | | 4s 515 | | 5s 514 | | 6s 488 | Â Â Â for 3000 attack rolls:
|   1s             470 | |   2s   501 | | 3s   524 | | blades   502 | | misses    1003 |
(there are 2 faces on the die for miss, which is why it has double the count of the others)
Enjoy!!
