| preview-1 is up. Akiza - guardian spawn-6V 2/6/7 bodyguard, Twin-->Azika Champion.
Ignoreing for a moment the "twin" ability, this is a realy sub-standard bodyguard for a spawn cost of 6. Twin; lets you replace it with an azika champion, for a spawn cost of zero. Azika Champion; 6V X/6/6 Twin-->Azika Guardian Rejoinder-2; This creatures power is equal to twice the number of enemies in it's cell. Against 4 opponents this is worth playing. Against less than 3 it's absolutly not. The ability to twin with a guardian isn't partiaulrly valuable, since the guardian is only life+1 tougher. And not itself worth playing. If you want a Passion style, high power creature in a valor warband, you might use an Azika-Champion. If you want a Bodyguard, use the samurai.
Mujina; 7V V 3/6/6 bloodcut Blade;Skirmish-self This lets the mujina skirmish itself, but it can't skirmish anything else with the ability. If the power was higher than 3, skirmish-self would be a strong ability. But 3 is just too low. Also this is a spawn-7 bloodcut, so it competes for the same slot in the spawn curve as Kitsune. Unless theres a really strong combo with another new piece, I'll stay with kitsune. | | Don't worry about the current metagame. It doesn't matter if it's ugly, bad, or the best ever. | This was up pre christmas man your slow.. I agree with most of the evaluation, skirmish self isnt very strong, it is a weak bodygaurd, though i dunno what fits in at 6 on the curve in monovalor bands, maybe a lunar maiden or something. Twin could turn out to be a very strong ability if used cleverly though.. Also you forgot to put down the definition of twin, though ive seen the preview. | | Champion of Wildshaped druid in with natural spell!

| | a bodyguard w/ defense 6 is nice, particularly when you can swap him in once the champion has entered a fleshless reaper's cell, not subject to an ambush due to coming from a different game area, and then protect the rest of your pieces from ambushes as well, this pair might make it into brighthammer bands, though i doubt it, it is some interesting tech, and gives you nice options depending on if you win or lose initiative (if you win, make sure the champ is out there, assuming there are multiple enemies in the cell, if you lose, put in the bodyguard) | | Champion of Dracotaur- Vindicated! | | Looks like they could be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to getting some new options for my Valor bands. | | | |

| Posted By EldritchSoul on 01/03/2007 8:24 PM a bodyguard w/ defense 6 is nice Defense 6/7 is about equal to the samurai's 5/8. Since the Guardian costs spawn+2 more than the samurai, thats not a favourable comparrison for the guardian.
... you can swap him in once the champion has entered a fleshless reaper's cell Which leaves the question of how the Champion gets into the Fleshless Reapers cell in the first place...?
