Some of the specifics might not be complete or correctly worded --
InQuest did not publish the Base Stickers, but rather word descriptions
of the abilities (in a real lame play on the 'Plague" theme -- i.e.
Typhoid Fever, Bird Flu, Influenza, Bubonic Plague, Yellow Fever, and
Mad Cow Disease). Some figures might have lineages not obvious based on
the text descriptions they provided in the article.
Shimmersword Merc looks fairly poor (because of Loner) World Eater has incomplete notes on it's abilities. All the rest look playable Octorilla is totally broken as worded.

| Octorilla may look broken, but he's a 5 4/10 for 11 spawn points, his defense means that you're not going to want to put him into combat, and his ability lends towards the same strategy. 11 points that you won't be putting into combat... I don't think I'd put him down as broken quite yet. MAYBE if the DHC combo works, but even then, 90% of the time, you'll want him in your opponent's 4 Cell, which means you have to commit a DHC to a sub-optimal cell.
the world eater disappoints me. she eats worlds, but gets eaten by average dice from about a dozen pieces and abilities.

Why would I want to put a warpstriker into close combat ? Particularly a warpstriker with the firepower this thing has.
It's in the warband to kill things. The last thing it wants to do is get any
further forwards than my own spawn row, it might get killed

The
"Optimum" cell for a DHC is defined as the cell where it gets to add as many dice as possible to attacks. With a secondary objective of
controlling a high scoreing cell. Where ever that used to be, it's now
axiomatically the cell with an Octorilla. Where amoungst other things
it assists in controlling all 3 scoreing cells on it's column. Not just
the one cell it's in. | | Don't worry about the current metagame. It doesn't matter if it's ugly, bad, or the best ever. In 2 years time, set rotation will ban everything.

Queen Chrysota; That's the best "commander effect" so far.
Overlord; Is that a typo? Fear seems more appropriate. Venom Cloud is kind of a drawback for a weenie pusher like me but that is a VERY useful Blade ability for a single. | | Two trades completed!! (Krush,Hides From Hurricanes) Champion of the Aaracokra Herald Of Snig Goblin King

Venom-cloud affecting your own creatures is clearly a weakness. The worst problem being that if the Overlord uses this blade 3 times in one phase, it will destroy itself. It's obviously worth cloud-killing one of your own spawn-3 creatures if in the process you wipe out an entire enemy stack. e.g. you could do something like; attack with 1st cell containing overlord, roll 2 blades 1st blade moves overlord to a cell containing a scorpion. 2nd blade venom cloud (in the new cell) Then attack in the hivelings new cell. 1st blade activates venom cloud (2nd time in the same cell) 2nd blade moves overlord. 3rd blade activates the scorpions venom. everything in the 2nd cell with a spawn cost of 6 or less dies, and one enemy with spawn-10 dies. Note that your own spawn-3 creatures in the first cell are safe, because the overlord moves out before it uses venom-cloud.
