With kitsune banned and cp with new mini's i would like to see what people think will win the coming tournaments.

is full madness now an option?
or is fear/passion control the new winning warband ?

is wheenie warband still an option with infernal preacher and octorilla?

will janus rise to win the tournaments?

Interesting question.
I was planning to test each new warband type against kit-hammer. On the simple basis that if it couldn't beat kit-hammer it wasn't worth furher testing. but with Kitsune banned that no longer makes any sence.
Lots of minis that were Landfill against Kit-hammer have to be re-evaluated. Now if they had just limited it. Then anything killable by a single 6-dice charge would still be Landfill.
So I'm glad they didn't limit Kitsune. Since it makes a lot more units potentially playable. I guess the next few 1K's will need real skill to win, instead of just copying warbands & tactics from the web forums.

Don't worry about the current metagame. It doesn't matter if it's ugly, bad, or the best ever. In 2 years time, set rotation will ban everything.

I think we're going to see a more wide-open meta in the next round of constructed.  Double Temple Reapers seem like a no-brainer, but any Double Temple team can be owned by a Sprite-Swarm.  The fun part is that any Sprite-Swarm team can be owned by a Double Temple team.  It's a pretty even match-up.  Slaughterwheel Toolbox will be a player, too (although most of those also fall under Sprite-Swarm).  It should be unpredictable, interesting, and, most importantly, fun.  Not like 7 rounds of Kit/Hammer vs. Kit/Hammer...

Brighthammer isn't going away though. There will definitely still be valor Brighthammer bands in the top tier of constructed. These big reaper builds are just that... big. They set up for something big and if they can't finish it off they lose. One properly played piece of anti-location tech can DESTROY a double temple band. Toxic Sludger is great and Arsonist is also good. Hazardin Grenadier + Appease is also another wonderful combo.

Brighthammer kitsune was beaten by temple good stuff. So before the ban there were basicly 4 warbands ?

britghammer + kitsune
passion of the reapers
temple good stuff
swarm

But cp has brought some more changes:
Infernal preacher making swarm warbands less tempting..

and the new location destruction might be a severe problem for temple goodstuff..

And the sprite seems to be good in all warbands but really nasty for swarm.

I think a madness fear control warband will rule and i will sure try it out. BUt before i go try i have a question:

I can only use a x: ability once during the spawn phase ? i am sure the answer is yes
but does that reset if i sacrifice my creature and spawn it again?
(imagine baxar and a citadel of torture and a infernal preacher for example..

a) Yes only once per spawn phase. rulebook P30, 1st column;
"(1), (2), (3), etc. . . “one spawn,” “two spawn,”
“three spawn,” etc. . . : An activation cost. To make this ability work, you must spend the indicated number of spawn points. You spend spawn points only during your spawn phase. You may only activate each such ability once per spawn phase."

b) Yes, see the base-set FAQ;
Q: If I activate a creature's spawn ability and that creature somehow leaves play and comes back into play before the end of my spawn phase, can I activate the ability again?
A: Yes. A creature that leaves play and comes back into play is treated by the game as an entirely new creature, even though it is represented by the same miniature. Since it is a different creature, you can activate its spawn ability.
