somewhere, with your mum, where you wouldn't like

| | Whilst on one of my numerous internet wanderings I stumbled across this:
ANVILBORN
Arriving this April, this 60-figure set features exciting, new abilities including: Soul Harrow, Bloodstrike, and Glory!
Combatants will revel in the strength of the all-new, no-aspect Anvilborn creatures. The Anvilborn feature automated movement triggered by gameplay, requiring a new level of strategic planning to control.

I would discuss it there but I can't be arsed joining and I think you lot say more juicy stuff.
The thing that went through my mind was - No aspect, therefore it's gonna be like Mirrodin in Magic. I'm also interested to hear people's speculation about gameplay triggering movement. Do you reckon it will be like - get your 'Herbert' figure in the 5 cell, advance/skirmish three pieces one space. Something like that might give an alternative to Warcharm. Or advance 1 piece per victory point. Or Lure 6-X pieces where X is your victory points. They should give me a job designing stupidly overpowered pieces. I would make 'em over 9 spawn unlike the fella who did Warcharm.
Please post your views - I would include a near psychotic level of speculation. Best answer wins a nice picture of Buzzkill Clown that I have drawn on a napkin. Actually, I'm lying about the prize

| I, personally, am looming forward to the no aspect, and possible dual aspect minis in this set.

| | I think movement might be triggered by such things as what numbers are rolled during the spawn phase. Ever notice that on the dice one "miss" diamond is solid and the other is an outline? I wonder if it means anything. | | | |

| | Yes, I think it does. I remember hearsay that the game might at some point incorporate special results related to the two types of rolled misses. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| | I really hope that they don't start messing with the "Miss" pips. I mean, if they want to give it a blade, then go ahead, but why something MORE to try and teach new players about. It is complex enough as it is.
Whatever the case, I hope the movement abilities are costed correctly. Movement effects board position, which in turn wins games. Chessmaster taught us that. If things are not costed appropriately or if there are too many critters with new movement abilities that activate on miss pips, I think we will have a problem with the game. | | A wand of silence means never having to say you're sorry. | | I kind of interpreted gameplay as creating a certain condition in the game that would have an effect rather than more dice rolling effects - there is enough of that already. I was hoping for more of a skill element rather than blind luck...
