Hi all.

Let's set things up thusly:

In an attack, I roll a blade and apply it to an ability such as Advance, Skirmish, or Attract.  The only legal target happens to be something like Mask Dancer or Knight of Strife and Joy with the Defender ability.Â

Defender reads: "This creature can't move into an enemy-occupied cell when you shift."

The movement abilities (Advance, Skirmish, Attract) would circumvent this, allowing my Dancer/Knight to enter a cell with an enemy, correct?

Thanks in advance.

So this is where some deeply meaningful song lyrics or fake awards of mine go, right?

Correct. Defender only stops movement into enemy occupied cells when you shift. Any other method of movement can legally move a Defender into the cell.
