I was thinking of slightly tweaking the DB core rules (introduction of just a few new game mechanics) and releasing a completely-homemade set of pieces based on the DB core game engine, but with different factions and a different feel altogether as I'm not a big fan of the original designs (of the miniatures, not the gameplay). I'm thinking of selling these pieces to my friends, but it won't be for profitable purposes; its to make up for the costs of putting such a thing together.

Would there be any legal/copyright issues if I do this? I'd greatly appreciate feedback on this matter :)
