The theory is that it moves the site towards being friendlier to other games. (General Discussion was almost entirely DDM in nature)
So, does it work? My initial impression is that it's "a bit" confusing. Heh. Probably more than a bit. I'll pass on to the webmaster the suggestions made for the format by Vash, and then see what he thinks.
Please: keep posting feedback. It really does help.

| It's more pointless than confusing. DDM is (was?) this site's largest game. Splitting general discussion into many forms of the same thing does nothing but keep people from reading up on everything in one place.

The problem with that is that one game shall rule them all (and in the PVC bind them).
That's just a matter of preference on the part of the posters. I would wager that if one were to consider the relative popularity of the existing games (not including Dreamblade) things would fall roughly as they have in the previous forum organization.
If Dreamblade is as good as folks say it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see it shoot up in popularity.
Things could be worse, though. I just use the Active Topics and scroll through them picking the ones I want. Sure, I have to scroll much further down to get to the forums that I like but that's the way the cookie crumbles. | |
