| I've heard the good news that they've moved the Limited Championship to WF instead of GenCon SoCal (well, good insofar as it means I can actually go, probably.) I can't find any info on WF 2007 online yet, though. Does anyone know the dates it is going to be this year? | |

| I don't know the dates yet, but I did have a chance to talk with Dave Christ at GenCon and while this wasn't directly asked, it sounded like it would be around the same time of year as the last one, so end of February if I remember correctly. It will be in the same location as Winter Fantasy 2006, whih is cool because the hotel is going to have been renovated by that time. With everyone to be gearing up for GenCon SoCal, I wouldn't expect much information until that con is over.

| My recollection is that Winter Fantasy was to be the weekend after Valentine's Day (15-18th). That may cause some problems (I know it will for me...) if that is the case. If it were exactly the same weekend as last year it would be the 22nd-26th. Pat E | |

| For the life of me I can't remember the hotel name, but it is in Washington DC in the part of town called Crystal City, right by the Pentagon.

| I hope it is that following weekend. It would also make an exclusive prerelease for unhallowed more feasible (just 2 weeks before the street date...). Anyway, It was held at the Hyatt last year, and they annoucned at teh event that it would return to the Hyatt, but that the Hyatt was going to be refurbished. Anyone live nearby who can check? | I agree with the dates. From what I remember it was going to be
the last full weekend in February. This works for me. I
only problem is it will mean lots of events for minis: grinder for
sealed champs, sealed champs, and maybe a prerelease of
unhallowed. It would be great, but lots of big events.

Pat E [/QUOTE] Hm, I'm not sure they'd schedule an exclusive pre-release for the same convention as the Limited championship - grinder one day, championships another, and top 8 on the last day doesn't leave a lot of room to also be running a pre-release. Stranger things have happened, though. | |

Based on the fine print in the Limited Qualifier announcement, it looks like the name is being changed to "D&D eXPerience" and the Limited Championship is scheduled on February 17th.

| It is a bit lame, but it does follow what we've heard: That WotC is making WF THE show to get all the good info on D&D. Living force is now ended, so I wouldn't be surprised if SWM are dropped from the event as well...

| | Also, if you would like to judge either RPGA or DDM, you can sign up now. There is pretty good swag if you do enough slots (like free hotel for doing 7 slots and books and minis if it was like last year). It's a fun experience if you choose to do it. | |
