I've had similar problems in the past, but I've usually been able to pay by logging into Paypal and then choosing "Pay for eBay items" option that is part of "Send Money" tab.
It does require that your Paypal account be connected to an eBay account, but if I remember correctly it was as simple as telling it what your eBay ID is as long as the email address connected to the eBay account matches an email address you have listed on your Paypal account.

You can also try what was suggested above see if the problem is at the Paypal end or the linkage. You will need the auction numbers to do this directly. | |

| I had a problem with paypal back in Jan/Feb, it didn't resolve well, I stopped using there service the better part of a year and only recently used there service again...only because they're so integrated into Ebay.
But if I can avoid them I will. | |

Very annoying as happened from a spillover (that is buying more than 40 items).
