I'm planning to start a campaign with lots of tanar'ri and thought I could use the War Apes from WotDQ like if they were Bar-Iguras. They are both Medium size, but the tanar'ri seem much more wide-shouldered and sturdy. I know I can do what I wish, but I would like to know your opinions. Thanks!

Well a Bar Lgura doesnt really wear the battle gauntlets either. But IMO if you want a monster in your campaign that there isnt a mini for....use it anyway. Never feel restricted by the selection of DDM. The War Ape is as close as you are gonna get right now as a proxy...So I think you should use em. :)

Either the War Ape or the Taer could work. Who cares if they aren't 'perfect.' :D
