| Apparently when you type " " in to a thread it auto converts to a missing link image instead!

Edit: weird. When I brought the page up for editing, the glitch is there too.
Edit #2: But, then when I updated, I got the <fire>> business.
Edit #3: On my third edit, it got even wackier, with the <> nonsense. I wonder what edit #4 will bring?

| Rather than post what edit #4 brought, in that previous post, I'll post it here.
Each time I selected the previous post for editing, I got stranger and stranger stuff in the text box. I just left it all there, and hit update when I was done, and then selected edit again, and it continued to get weirder.
I'd keep doing that, over and over, to see if I could crash things, but I'm not that interested in causing a crash.
Anyone else try to edit their messed up "" posts?

It got weird, I surmise, because it swapped out "Angel" (lowercase) with the image when it saved the post, as opposed to saving it like you typed, and then doing the Angel/graphic substitution when it displays the post (like most sites do with bbcode and smilies). I suppose that is supposed to be for efficiency's sake, but it a bass-ackwards way of doing it.

| Webmaster or Wuzzard might be able to fix this by removing the entry in the smiley xml file for the Angel smiley.

Or, we could all just start calling that set anglefire again 
Removing it from the xml file won't fix existing posts, but it should prevent the replacement from happening once the forum software's smiley cache is reset. | | | |
