| G'day! It is with great regret that I must announce my resignation as a moderator of maxminis.com. Why I have made this decision is primarily due to one factor: lack of time. My home connection has become unreliable in the extreme. When it is functioning, I really should be working on my website, which I have been badly neglecting over the past few months. I can not pretend that this year hasn't been difficult for me for a number of other reasons as well. Most distressing was the destruction of my previous news site. At present, I really want to build the news site to be what it once was. However, due to the limited time I now have available - I'm also far more busy in Real Life(tm) than I was three years ago - I have to make some choices about what I am able to do. I expect that you'll still see me around the various DDM and D&D RPG sites, but now just as another player and DM, rather than a moderator. | Wow, Merric, I may not have known you as long as the older members of these boards but in my short time I have come to respect you as a fair and just Moderator. You were willing to speak your mind and even admit your mistakes if you made one. I have read your RPG reviews with great interest and made purchases off your suggestions. I do hope you continue to post those and when your site improves you can post more articles of interest. All I have left to say is thanks for all your efforts.

| Thank you everyone for your kind words. I rather hope to not abandon maxminis and the DDM community altogether, but for the next couple of months I need to concentrate on things that are incompatible with acting as a moderator. (Yes, this is mainly due to time constraints).
Am I busy? Well, yes. Apart from the weekdays being devoted to work, Friday nights and Sundays are normally taken up with playing games (board and RPG, normally). Add to that I can't easily access the 'net from home, and things quickly became problematic.
There were several moderation issues that really needed addressing, and I couldn't devote the time to them, so I decided to step down.
The future? We'll see what happens.

I originally found Maxminis from Merric's Article and Warband pages where I had been a regular commenter. That sites crash unfortunally damaged my interest there severly although I still visit. As far as I'm concerned it was one of the best places to post a warband for advice because they were all in one place and not mixed with other "important" stuff. My only complaint about the warbands section of Merric's is no search to point people too after they post the same warband that has already appeared three times.
