| Hola. I just saw this and nearly wet my pants. Mongoose is creating a non-randomized (wysiwyg) PRE-PAINTED modern and near future minis game that so far looks to be featuring infantry and tanks. On their website, I see four factions:
USMC Europeans Peoples Liberation Army (China) Arab Alliance
Contragulations to Mongoose for having the stones to publish what looks like a pretty politically incorrect game. On the plus side, my pre-painted horrorclix zombies will now have some marines to fight.

| | I've been checking out their stuff for the past month. The pre-painted figures realy do look nice. Seems like there are quite a few companies jumping on the pre-painted bandwagon, there's a sci-fi game coming out near Christmas by that crazy good French minature company. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | | Iv'e been keeping up with these for a while. In the forums I believe they said it is called "Battlefield Evolution." Anyway, they are not the only ones who took the plunge. Micro Armour and at least two other independent companies have also thrown some out, Micro Armour is in 1/285th scale though. I think Mongoose is the only one that has devrloped a ruleset though. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | I've a fondness for the 25-28 mm figures myself, mostly from playing Warhammer for years. That and most RPG figures, particularly modern come in that scale. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | not sure on package details? sounds like the starship trooper ones could be singles. rackham is beating htem to the punch with at-43 a futuristic wargame. from reading the mongoose boards they believe that at-42 is competition for starship troopers and the reason mongoose is creating pre-painted is due to at-43.
ive also heard a rumor of fantasy flight games doing a prepainted miniature game on the mutant chronicles | | The ROCK layeth the smacketh down. Long live Farscape Vindicated-CHAMPION of the INTELLECT DEVOURER i will change my avatar when martin completes dances with dragons

| | The Rackham game looks to be very cool. One of my FLGS gave me a sneak look at it a few weeks ago. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | | Before anyone states Racham has beat someone to the punch, be aware that the starter box set they release this month doesn't have full rules and comes with scenarios that you can play through.
The full set of rules will come out in March and that is when the game will be truly playable. | | Successful trades with: Hok, Peaches, ThatDaveGuy, portermj, Idzy, Ardus, Chaotic Good
