| This is a minis post because all my son plays from Wizards is D&D minis.He is ranked pretty good in PA. A few days ago my son got a small box from wizards in the mail. Inside was a gray brain with what I think may be a word scramble. Does anyone know why or what they would mail him this for ? We think its cool & funny. We just want to know why. | |

We both play DDM, but there is also a healthy magic group around, and none of them received a brain. And you are correct, Gleemax is a magic card, it is supposed to represent R&D (or the evil power behind R&D). I don't know, but it is a working email. | |

| Hi Lidda, Glad to see you've picked up on this. I also received a brain and after figuring out the "brain teaser" (oooooh, so funny...) I shot off an email to old Gleemax. The brain teaser is written as an email address... and I have yet to receive any sort of response after many days. I also looked online and saw the forum with pictures being posted and who was the best minion and all of that. Oh, and for those who don't know, Gleemax is a 1,000,000 casting cost Artifact from a gag Magic set. My question, and please take me seriously, what's the point? Yay, I've got a squishy brain, and yes it's sparked some interest. However, it's not gonna make me buy any Magic cards...? So, these "smart, smart folks" - what's their plan? Thanks, I'd love some clarification! | |

The D&D staff's NDAs prevent them from dealing with the anger in the D&D community over WotC kill Dungeon and Dragon magazine. The NDAs would make sense if there was a big marketing campaign for the DI, but are hard to explain otherwise. | |

| Essentially, the site is a place to send pictures. Gleemax "demands pixels" of items, objects, etc and you can take pictures of you and others with the object in any way that matches it. Gleemax then gives out points to the "minions" who send stuf in. There is even a Flickr site of the pics sent in found here . The minions on the Gleemax forums seem to be forming into Pro-, Anti-, and Couldn't Care at All About- Gleemax factions.
So in total, nothing really related to the digital initiative, and pobably more to do with MTG Un-sets, but no real definitive answers just yet that I can see. | |

| According to the gleemax.com FAQ, Gleemax is an Alternate Reality game pitting the three factions (pro-gleemax, anti-gleemax, and neutral) against each other.
After lurking on the gleemax forum for a while, the whole novelty died rapidly.
Interesting marketing concept, but I'll stick with Cyberpunk 2020 for my Alternate Reality games, thanks  | |
