| I have moved to California, I have a nice job, I know where a store is (Endgames), and well... I found out how little time I have for the game of minis.. heh. I never would have thought to say that. Well, I haven't collected since Angelfire, everything's in high gear here in San Jose, and well... I want to find gamers in the San Jose area.
And one more thing, anyone who knows me, I have a baby on the way. Oh my god.. Kaya? What did you do? I don't know. I just want to game, collect a few more minis, and then sell off the others I can afford to sell off. I'm not breaking up sets, just all my spares.. My god, did you just hear that? Sell off my spares? heh... That's a laugh. | | Just a simple traveler from the swamps of Dagobah otherwise known as Florida. Also known as Hurricane Alley! I always try to send through delivery confirmation, and I expect the same. It's only 55 cents extra, so it's just a little more than a pay phone call, so just do it for the Kai. I prefer to trade with people in the US and Canada, sorry everyone else. http://www.maxminis.com/Forums/tabid/104/forumid/53/postid/655406/view/topic/Default.aspx - references | |

| There's a store closer to you in Santa Clara called Game Kastle that hosts the south bay crowd.
The Night Below prerelease was there this weekend, and they have one of the official release tournament coming up next Saturday.
I think that Wednesday and Thursday nights are their league nights for DDM, but it isn't on their event calendar so you might want to call and check.

Go to Florida, no... Central area north of Orlando, and all the way west from St Augustine to Century. And look to Alabama. I was chased by these punks, I had to hide, I moved 5 times in FL hoping to be safe. I had 30 people standing outside the doors to my work with the doors locked, police called and nobody responding. I had dead chicken bodies (no heads) placed at my doorstep, I had my car tagged twice, I had bricks thrown through windows to another house... Yeah, it was bad, and then I took off to where the police won't put up with it and that the KKK is the hunted minority. After going 4 months without a job and moving from place to place to hide, it drains the savings. Here I'm doing much better. | | Just a simple traveler from the swamps of Dagobah otherwise known as Florida. Also known as Hurricane Alley! | Try being a professional astrologer, ex-college football player, hippy, and DungeonMaster, and living in the South, well Western North Carolina is the north of the south, but still as Bible beltish as most places...
When I go to Rainbow Gatherings to meditate, I hear it from my gamer friends and athlete friends. When people find out I played college football, they offer praise, and then when they find out I'm a stargazing astrologer, they take it back and awkwardly shuffle away...
When the locals find out that I'm an astrologer and Dungeons & Dragons player, that's it, they judge me as demonspawn, and want nothing to do with me...despite the fact I can offer Biblical proof that astrology is a noble and good art/science/language of the heavens.
I think the key is to realize that at the deepest level, we are unified. I mean as gamers we can be enlightened, because we've been the sorrowful ranger hunting for a destiny, or the apprentice mage yearning to unlock the secrets of the universe...we can through our gaming learn to accept each other in all our faults and wonders...
Anyway, Game ON! Long live Dragon and Dungeon in our hearts!

| Hey Kaya - I can relate. I live 20 miles from Oakwood Georgia. It is (or was??) the main central office for those Kooky Klan Klowns. I think most of the transplanted Yankees chased em' off. I went to a very "rural" (Read: Redneck High School - GRIN) Our gaming had to be covert as it was thought to be very bad/evil. My old DM Guide still has a fake cover glued to it. This was in the eairly 80's. All better now. But people still say I talk funny........ GRIN
