WotC has posted submission guidelines for their new online versions of Dragon Magazine and Dungeon Magazine:
Dragon/Dungeon Submission Guidelines
I guess this counts as official confirmation that the content that might have been in the magazines is being repurposed to provide online content.

They already have online subscriptions to their mags, however it costs the same as the ones on paper. | | Just a simple traveler from the swamps of Dagobah otherwise known as Florida. Also known as Hurricane Alley! I always try to send through delivery confirmation, and I expect the same. It's only 55 cents extra, so it's just a little more than a pay phone call, so just do it for the Kai. I prefer to trade with people in the US and Canada, sorry everyone else. http://www.maxminis.com/Forums/tabid/104/forumid/53/postid/655406/view/topic/Default.aspx - references

| I'm under NDA, but I don't really know much anyway. I believe that I can say that we're supposed to hear more about content at GenCon.

| There will be some information "leaked" at the seminar, as one would expect, but the details on what is replacing the magazines will be released right after GenCon.
I wonder if this is the first time a company has announced details of a major initiative right after GenCon rather than at GenCon. It's very odd...

| | Well, there may be so much that they are announcing at GenCon that they feel it deserves not to be lost amongst the other news. That's a wild guess, though. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| | Hmm still really not sure on the whole Idea. No matter how good the content is I'd still rather have it in print. Plus there was some rumor that the magazines would worked on a subscription basis and that if you canceled your subscription you could no longer access your magazines. ASgain this was only a rumor but it wasn't one I heard denied by WotC. I'm sure all will be revealed in good time. Having said that I'd still far rather spend my money on Pathfinder at the moment. Nothinmg personal again WotC but as of late I feel Paizo have been creating far better adventures than Wizards have. Just my opinion though. | | | |

| | Paizo has had my support... I'm saddened that my subs for both runs out in 2008, and they are no longer printing either... | Indeed. I'll be trying Pathfinder as well. And, on top of this, Pathfinder will still serve as a vehicle for people who want to try to get into the writing business. Pathfinder, I think, will be needing about half-a-dozen new monsters per "issue" and I think I saw somewhere that they'll be accepting submissions.
I'm not 100% sure of this, but check the Paizo site and ask at GenCon if you're going.
