| Usually, when you play trading-card games, you have to rely heavily on your
imagination. This is fine unless you don't have a very good imagination, and the
characters in your mind just stand there shrugging their shoulders. You won't
have to worry about that when you play The Eye of
Judgment for PS3. The PlayStation Eye reads your Summoning Cards as you play them and brings the
battle to life on your screen. Available online or at your
local GameStop.
Apparently solid mechanics and strategic play is not the reason to play CCGs. The real reason is because it's really cool when your dragon breathes fire. Wowzie! I can actually watch the dragon breathe fire.
Pardon my sarcasm. Hopefully the drips won't stain the rug.
I am very curious what target audience this game is shooting for. The ad is insulting for every age group.

| | It's really not a CCG if you're playing on a computer, much like your not playing a role playing game if you're playing on a computer. The salient feature of both types of games is face to face contact. | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com | |

I thought the idea was really neat. If I had a ps3 i would buy this game. Although if the game mechanics of the CCG suck it might not be very fun.

| | It's insulting because the subtextual claim is that no one has sufficient imagination to enjoy a CCG. Eye of Judgement remedies our serious lack of imagination by supplying the requisite visual effects. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Give 'em a break. They're just trying to make you have fun their way. ;) | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. | What makes the game is the apparent inability to actually purchase the product.
Penny-arcade actually can't find them in any EB games they've looked. Hilarious.

| It's readily available via amazon (game, boosters, and all the starters).
Penny Arcade's problem is that Tycho is attempting to purchase a non-re-sellable product from EB Games. That's just silly. EB Games/Gamestop is in business to sell used games, not sell CCG expansion packs. It is pretty hilarious that you can only order a random starter deck from Gamestop (why on earth would you want a random starter deck? that's just silly).

| Just got an email from WotC Saying they got way..WAY..less delivered than their pre-orders.
So apparently people really want some, and it isn't being delivered. Not the best problem to have... | | Gryfalia's Aerie Bloomington/Normal's only dedicated Game Store! www.gryfaliasaerie.com forums.gryfaliasaerie.com | |

Not the worst problem to have, either. Nintendo has the same problem and Wii sales don't seem to be hurting for it. In the past, Nintendo had the bad habit of producing consoles in limited numbers to make people believe they're ALMOST out of stock, so everyone believed their console was very successful. This failed for the N64 and gamecube. The Wii is a major success however, but I can buy one everywhere I want : I've yet to see one of the shops in my town out of stock. | You must live in a very strange town then. Locally, they're still selling out within about an hour of delivery (at the local Gamestop). If I want to drive for around 40 miles, the GameCrazy near my sister's house sells out in about 3 days.
Granted, I'm not sold on the Wii. Having played a few of the games, the only one which stands out for me is Wii Sports and I just can't justify ~$400 for one game (console plus 3 extra wiimotes adds up quickly). At least my ps3 (which is also sadly deficient in game selection) is a Blu-Ray player | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie?
