| this first starter comes with two capital ships, the executor and the mon-cal. both are supposed to be gargantuan.
My guess is that the next set will try a pair of prelude trilogy cap ships. What are your guesses on what these ships will be?
1. republic attack cruiser & Sep flagship
2. droid control ship & ?
3. (not likely) Yuuzhan Vong cap ship & New Republic Star Destroyer.

| The report at this time is that there are no current design plans for expansions to this stand alone game. The next Mini's set to be released (after another long pause) will once again be standard Character/Creature Mini's. Pat E | | "Games evolve. Otherwise we'd still be pushing rocks around the dirt. | | I imagine that they're going to wait and see how this one sells and how much it gets played before commiting too much to a next set. | | | |

| I guess there will never be a second set if they try to include almost all classic starships from the very beginning. What they could do, though, is sell fixed packages like AT-AT or AT-ST. But that would be soooooo micro machines minded...

| Hello,
The more I read about the game the more I think we will not ever see a second set released. Just a gut feeling, but it does look like all of the classic bases are being covered the first time around.
Cheers

| I think they'll be hard pressed to get to 60 even using EU/computer game ships. By my reckoning the films only give us 32

Now they just need to do a set of Star Trek ships (SFB anyone?) so we can solve the age-old Star Wars -v- Star Trek debate. But starwars ships have a hyperdrive which can cross the galaxy in less than a day. And warpdrive takes years for that (e.g. Voyager) While Startrek ships detect & fight each other at warp speeds. And Starwars ships are sublight in actual combat. It's like a Shark tring to fight an Petrodactyl. They can both eat anything swimming on the surface, but neither can affect the other, except by ridiculous coincidence. And since the Jedi/Sith are expects in using "co-incidence"...
The only thing that's certain is that you'd get a lot of destroyed planets.

On the main topic of this thread, I'm sure if it sells well enough they'll find some way to make an expansion. Like SWM a different version of the various uniques; e.g. An early version millenium Falcon, as it was when Lando owned it. i.e. before Han's "Special Improvements". And the same for Slave-1 (one version as flown by Jango Fett and the second after 20 years of upgrades by Boba Fett) The SWM game has a couple of factions never seen in the films & those races presumably have their own ships. etc...

| | If you look at the numerous books there could be tons of ships. Also ships only mentioned in the movies might appear. Of corse their could be multiple styles of ships that have different stats ie an x-wing and an x-wing piloted by Luke Skywalker. | | | |

| There are of course more ships in the EU and computer games. It's a long time since I read any EU books so I can't really remmber any beyond the Wild Karrde and Dash Rendar's ship, whose name escapes me. Most of the ships used are, IIRC familiar from the films.
Computer games give us (there may be more):
Nebulon Frigate (2 fin version) TIE Advanced TIE Defender Assault Gunboat Assault Transport Assault Shuttle Carrack Class Cruiser Carrier Interdictor Z-95 Head Hunter T-Wing V-Wing Kyle Katarn's Ship (whose name escapes me) Independence (Mon Cal ship) Defiance (Mon Cal ship) Victory class Star Destroyer
That's another 18
I just can't see multiple sets. Can anyone think of another 60? It's not as though you can put ships in different poses as you can with humanoid figures. I'd be disappointed if rares are simply 'Luke's Xwing' an X Wing with a slightly different paint job. The stats would be easily obtainable without buying the figure.

| Do not be too proud of that technological terror. It pales into insignificance besides the power of...
But specific to the discussion, Kirk defeated a "Planet Eater" with the original enterprise. And in one episode of TNG. Entrerrise-D is using a tractor to shift a tectonic plate on an inhabited planet. And Data casually mentions that a .001% error will steralise all life on the planet. So TNG ships can "Accidentally" match the death star, without even using their weapons. The Federation obviously never does this because they are the good guys. The Klingons never do it because they prefer hand-2-hand combat with Batllefs & planet killers are just not an "fun" way to kill people. The Romulans never do it because... Nah, obviously the Romulans do do it, but not "on Camera", because it's more treacherous to do it "off camera".

| | Dash's ship is the Outrider, and Darn would I Love to get a mini of the Modly Crow, Kyle's ship or even the Raven's Claw (the one that replaced it in later games)! I always liked the look of the Crow. | | | |

| Don't forget these ships: (sorry about the spelling)
Dreadnoute Reble's Assault Cruser (A modifide Dreadnoute) Quasar Fire class Carrior (The Flurry in Truce at Bacura) B-wing E2 (2 man) E-wing Howlrunner The Chiss Clawfighters (looks like a tie with 4 wings)
(off subject note) I think the Moldy Crow and Raven's Claw were actaly the same ship...... the Claw is a rebuilt Crow. Spoiler alert: Kyle Crashes the Moldy Crow at the end of Dark Froce 2: Jedi Knight. Hence the need to rebuild her.
