| | I placed first in the Star Wars Miniatures Limited Championship. My prize to my delight was an entire set of the Starships game. The set looks great. I got all 60 ships and the cards. I had to beg borrow and almost steal a starter. I sat down and played a 300 point game as the Imperials and got reamed. The game is wonderfully simple. Initiative, move, shoot. Quick and dirty.
The game is spendy at $40 per starter and $22 per booster but the ships look great. | | Chris Bradshaw

| | The spendy part really is preventing me from getting into it. The concept fascinates me, and generally, the minis look good. I have concerns about warped minis, though. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse | |

| Yeah, I was "lucky" enough to be able to purchase the starter and 1 booster at SoCal. Played 1 game so far, seems fun. | | Good sales: Oryan77, bonelock, Drakkengi, King O Vrock | |

| Posted By Sean-Khan on 11/21/2006 11:38 PM Wow, congrats Chris You're lucky one (and yeah, maybe skillful too ) I was able to get my starter a week ago, but I'll be waiting for the boosters for a few weeks I guess. So for I'll have to play with what I got from starters, with my old self-built pieces (many of which I'm afraid are in wrong scale so they would look awkward next to these) Yeah, but since the SWM ships are out of scale, yours would fit right in (insert smiley with wink here)

| Well, that's true, more or less But my fighters are 2/3 of the size of the miniature -fighters, so they look a bit awkward Fortunately, I believe that dreadnoughts & corellian corvettes are of pretty good size, but Victory is too large - I believe it's quite about size of ISD.
Speaking of which, Chris - could you please confirm ISD's length? My Victory is a bit less than 4,5" long (11cm).
Oh, and Chris, if it would be possible for you (or anyone else) to send me scans/photos of Y-wing's, imperial shuttle's & tie fighter's card (top side only for fighters), I'd be most grateful as I'm trying to put up the first battle at friday using my customs to fill missing fighters address is twilek ( at ) iki point fi | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland
