Hi all, we played SSB for the first time today. The game was fast, fun and full of extreme rolls and brave starfighters bringing down entire ships! There was one Scarab Fighter who refused to go down for whole three rounds, being attacked by Rep Cruiser, Rebel Cruiser, Karrde and Viscount Out of three games, LS won them all. We bought one booster and one starter and this is what we played. Light Side: Viscount 150 Rebel Cruiser 24 Rep Cruiser 19 Wild Karrde 19 2x V-Wing 2x3=6 A-Wing Ace 6 Y-Wing 4 Naboo SF 4 Jedi SF 5 Total: 237 Dark Side: Executor 150 Comm Guild Destroyer 37 Imp Shuttle 18 Vulture Droid Adv 5 Tie-F 5 Scarab 5 Tie-Bomber 4 Cloakshape F 3 Total: 224 [edited by LCS to fix stray html in thread title...]

It's fun to play from time to time, I'd still hope for renewed rules. I haven't played it for months, though... I hope to get a RPG campaign up and get use of my ships then! The worst thing in the game currently is lack of tactical element & the fact that your favourite ship is likely to go down first or second turn at latest (unless it's class 1, which aren't very efficient in turn). But like I said, it's still fun from time to time

the game is pretty simple and fast paced, but has its strategy.... you have lots of combination that could work a lot... but depends more on how you administrate your resources in game

Game's one problem is the Rebel Cruiser. It's much more cost effective than anything else. Result is that a swarm of Rebel Cruisers carrying Y-Wings, with a couple of uniques {Wild Karrde, Milenium Falcon} and a few B-Wings will smash most opponents with ease.

Don't worry about the current metagame. It doesn't matter if it's ugly, bad, or the best ever. In 2 years time, set rotation will ban everything.
