Basic Premise (more coming soon):

Location- Three large, easterly islands R-W, 43-45 (meaning approximately left-to-right squares 43-45, top-to-bottom rows R-W)
Race-Draconic (kobolds, dragonborn, dragonspawn?, dragons, half-dragons)
Size-Not yet determined (likely will be very large...metropolis population +)
Allignment- CN
general information- Here there be dragons. Dragons are native to these islands due to the unique agriculture and environment. There are tall peaks, a sandy desert to the east, and a mixture of jungle and forest. Over the centuries, the dragons have developed a bizarre mixture of tribal groupings combined with a couple of sizable cities, if they can be called cities. The ruins of an ancient civilization, probably destroyed by the dragons long ago when they first arrived, cover this region, and the dragons now use them. Along with the true dragons, various draconic creatures also have come to inhabit this region. Some were born (half-dragons, dragonborn), others were brought (kobold slaves). Yet others came of their own free will, seeking the power of the dragons (spellscales, sorcerers of various races, dragon shaman, etc). The bustling dragon cities are a stark contrast to the dragon-worshipping barbaric tribes interspersed throughout the region. This region is in a constant state of flux, as law and chaos, good and evil live close enough that conflict is inevitable.

The Dragon Overlords (a council that loosely rules the region) keeps relative order through fear. No one wishes to bring the focus of angry dragons upon them. They have also developed a system of challenges by combat and use it for everything from determining guilt to replacement of an Overlord.

The region sees limited trade/interaction with other regions.

Location-The Big Island, Ansythraxys

Population (Races)- Integrated Monstrous (37% Human, 20% Dragon-blooded [dragonborn, dragonwrought, spawn, half-dragon]. 18% kobold, 10% half-orc, 7% dwarf, 5% gnome, 2% halfling, 1% half-elf/elf

Dragons also populate Ansythraxys. They are relatively few in number, but control a disproportionate amount of the power in the region. The true dragons function somewhere between a Magocracy (or Dracocracy) and a Tribal Structure (with dragon-worshipping cults).

Size- Metropolis+ (Roughly 30,000)

Allignment- CN

Major City/s (and locations)- Varythyx (W44 on the harbor). Malathor (U46 on the harbor). Imbraxaxyll (U44) is an ancient ruined city, deep in the island interior jungle.

Guilds and organizations of note- There are few organizations of substance on the dragon isles. Most organizations are along the tribal level (consisting mostly of dragon cults). There are rumors of a group of sorcerers that meet to fight (kind of like a fireball-filled fight club) in the ruins of Imbraxaxyll, but those who participate keep it secret or die during the contests.

Technology Level- Low. The dragons make very little use of technology and their followers do likewise. Magic and strength of claw are the powers of Ansythraxys.

Main Trade goods--The draconic islands engage in limited trade with the outside world. The vast majority of the time, human sailors and merchants man the vessels used to transport the few cargos leaving or returning to the isles. On very rare occasions, a polymorphed dragon or powerful half-dragon will accompany the trade vessels.

--Import-- Metals (mainly iron/gold), Gems, Glassware, craftwork/artistry

--Export-- Magic items (limited quantities), Spices (particularly, the highly coveted dragonspice), dragonhide armor (typically made from good-aligned dragonhide), darkwood

Alliances- The Dragon Overlords permit trading with the Human Empire (AE-Daunte) and Montravrail (AF-Random Sasquatch). Other trade is rare at best. While the Dragon Overlords consider these neighbors to be trade partners, they do not consider them to be real 'allies.'

Known Enemies- The dragon isles are isolated enough that they have not yet developed any major enemies (although the Dragon Overlords keep tabs on both the Isle of Misfits (AD-Ghendar) and the Undead Empire (AG-Random Sasquatch) as potential threats/problems.

Notable People- Agrythryxal (Red Ancient Wyrm) is the head of the Dragon Overlords. His base of operations is the port city Varythyx. Glymdrathraxyl (Gold Wyrm) is the second most powerful of the Dragon Overlords. Her base of operations is the port city Malathor. Other notables include Shockyr, an adult Blue dragon who controls a large following of worshippers located in the southeast desert; Incator, a human Sorcerer of draconic bloodline who is the mouthpiece for Agrythryxal in Varythyx.

Politics/Government- The Dragon Overlords are an organization comprised of ten powerful dragons (one of each metallic and chromatic). They are primarily led by Agrythryxal, a Red Ancient Wyrm, who holds sway by his power and age. The Overlords exert influence over Ansythraxys (and the other dragon isles) but enjoy working largely behind the scenes. The Overlords despise each other (metallics hate the chromatics, and vice versa), but maintain their tenuous alliance in order to maintain control. Without the Overlords, the dragon isles would be substantially less isolated. In addition to the Dragon Overlords, there are several lesser dragons that enjoy holding sway throughout the island. Most of these dragons are chromatic, but there are a few metallic dragons hoping to establish small centers of good. These dragons normally establish themselves as the object of worship over a population of primarily humans/draconic-blooded followers. These dragon cults are spread across Ansythraxys, and are individually far too weak to

The "deathknight" (to be named) has repeatedly tried to create a squad of undead dragon mounts for his most elite cavalry. The overlords of the dragon isle (veiwing this as unnatural and maybe even sacriligious to their kind) have quashed his attempts from a distance, by casting through a scry bowl and making it impossible for him to succeed.

He continues the futile endeavor though...

for a deathknight, centuries are but a small drop in the bucket of time.

Also,

as a little sidenote,

A few of the more powerful evil dragon overlords have first pick of the slaves at my prison. The slaves might be used as food, emmissaries, ect.

Argrythryxal is always happy to receive gifts. New workers are constantly needed for dragonspice harvesting (which is quite hazardous to a person's health).

Argrythryxal would frown upon dragons being used as mounts under any circumstances. Undead dragon mounts would be particularly chaffing. He would consider some sort of deal made between the Death Knight and one of the more powerful chromatic dragons to research creating a Dracolich [:D]
