| The setting for my next game.
Still pretty much Beta at the moment, with names likely to change somewhat and some formatting errors.
Change Confederation for Empire for Star Wars setting.
What life forms live where is next on my to do. Will be influenced by what character races the players pick.
Also still working on getting better quality screen shots of the quadrant. The mapping software I use (astrosynthesis) is producing too big animations/images, and the print screen loses a lot of quality.
And ugghhh, maxminis screwed up what nice neat formatting I did have. And too lazy to fix right now. Its meant to be on black background is makes it lots prettier. If there is interest, I'll PDF it.

The Nirash Quadrant, An Overview | In the Nirash quadrant, far from well traveled space, the dominate features are the massive asteroid belts in the eight sectors. They contain many precious metals and ores, and far more importantly elements of Gavlron a key and ultra rare material required for gravity well devices and hyper space machines. These belts are huge, some spanning the distance of entire solar systems, commonly being hundreds of million kilometers in length. (NB: Sol to Pluto average distance is nearly six billion kilometers) |
| | The eight sectors of Nirash Quadrant are Besuslia, Haratu, Jinurna, Kaege, Kashidlore, Madanish, Rotora, and Verra. | Other views of the quadrant: grid 1 - grid 2 - grid 3 - no grid 1 - no grid 2 - no grid 3 |
| The Confederation have assembled a deployment station as per their SOP and have claimed three of the asteroid systems (colloquially known as known as the Belt, the Buckles and the Braces) and stationed a large size military force to ensure that they stay their exclusive property. The Confederation mining fields, the deployment station and numerous other resources including the permanently stationed battle fleet dominate the quadrant. | | Kotiba in the Siomelil system is the first Confederation planet to be colonized in the system and is still in the early days of terraforming. Mostly utilizing slave/penal labour and other undesirables to its work force, it is frequently referred to as both as an undesirable hell hole, and the major place for leave, giving it the nick name of 'wrecking ball' (rest and rec) |
|
| The Rybrillpin asteroid belt is mined by the Buggers, a grim war like, possibly insectiod life form. Their status with the Confederation (and apparently all other life) is an uneasy yet undeclared galactic war. | | Maakokse has been marked by the Confederation as the planetary base of the Buggers in the Quadrant. Little else is known of it. |
|
| A few disputed and 'free' belts remain, populated by a mixture if independent types hoping to strike rich, and pirate like scum using the fields as a nearly safe haven. Rebels and other sorts frequent it at times. There are the Dayormir fields, and the Sullouaan fields which are hotly contested, while the Miasel belt is almost exclusively criminal. | | The conglomerate planet, Ijadi in the Tagest system services the independents and all comers with impunity granted by the rich powerful corporate concerns that run it. A mash pile of races and professions all hardened frontier types to be living this far out. There is a delicate issue of Confederation serving as an unofficial police force alongside corperate security that don't always share the same interests. | |
| The Ningmislisse, barely out of their own solar system by a half century are amazed and scared by the galactic presence are frantically terraformed and inhabiting as many rocks in 'their' space as they can. Praying the Confederation will befriend them as vassals or independents rather than enslaving them, and that either occurs before the Buggers consume them. | | Almost insignificant except to themselves (and the pirates that see them as prey) is the pre space world of Zumber in the Maastanistu system. Only recently developed the steam engine they mostly remain blissfully unaware of the greater life around them. Only the unfortunates harvested by pirates know more about the galactic life around them. |
