How this review process is handled is up to the community.
I will gladly put Zohran up for the first such review as soon as I finish it.
The review idea is great. There are some things being thrown out that I don't like much (none of the key ideas for populations in areas--moreso some of the lesser supplemental ideas. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

| | I've noticed that a vast majority of the empires/small empires set up are either neutral or evil. There may be a need for more good races locations. There are a lot of human groups (which is fine). I just point this out so that people will choose another race for setting up another good empire. | | "Look to God and live." I think having a review is necessary. We have to do it in an honest open way and everyone should try not to be offended if an idea is rejected. I agree with Corim that some of what I've heard so far is, shall we say, not really to my liking. However, some of you might feel that way about my ideas. | | Ghendar - Now with 51% more snark

| Hey Corim,
Vry is the man to talk to, to get your elven lands extended. I am also in favor of an approval system.
As far as your template goes Ghendar. Could we change "Race" to "Population" as in percentage of races/creatures that make up the population in your area?

| After Thursday I'll begin some serious work on my areas. I also plan on starting a thread regarding the "Gods of the NEW WORLD" and one for the "heros of the NEW WORLD". There will only be 20 gods and up 20-30 heros. Each person is allowed only to develop 1 major Deity and 1 hero. This is your chance to make your old favorite character a hero in the new world. Look at the thread for details.

Would you mind posting a grid-map of my land "Montavrail" like you did for Chuckles with his volcano island?
I bet the other guys who've created topics for their lands would really appreciate grid-maps of the areas too.

| If it's not too late to join in all the fun, I'd like to submit the following for consideration. I want to create three inter-related civilizations in the large map square M-P 41-45.
The Neverending Jungle of Icaza: An immense mountanous jungle that is dominated by the rising power of the Suyu empire over various tribal peoples. The defining feature of the landscape is the massive Lake Hunaymarca, a freshwater lake with a few small islands and is the destination of twenty rivers. Shamanism is the dominant religion, although many in the Suyu empire is now proclaiming Helisol as the one true god. In many of the outlying regions of the Suyu empire a syncretist religion appears that meshes Helisol with the tribal gods. Many of the men are bloodthirsty by nature, and cannibalism is currently en vogue in the empire.
CN Jungle elves: The elves are the buffer between the Icazan peoples and the Theocracy of the Sun. The elves have been in the jungles for centuries, and not even the eldest remembers anything about how they split off from the main elven tribe over a millinea ago. They are adept at poison use, and since many of them are practicing druids, they have formed a rough truce with the beasts that inhabit the jungles of Icaza.
Theocracy of the Sun: The humans that started the Theocracy of the Sun are religious dissidents from the Gessan Empire. They proclaim Helisol as the one true god, who is represented by the unconquered sun. Around a hundred years from the start of the game three prophets started to receive the same vision: the sun growing in the sky so large that nothing else could be seen and their own bodies being immolated but not consumed by the fires as the sun god instructed them in his teachings. Over the next five years they each formed a core band of followers and finally found each other in (one of the Gessen major cities). The Gessen authorities were not happy with this offshoot that placed the sun god above the other gods, and sought to destroy their influence by exposing the three prophets as charlatans. This failed, and many sought to kill the prophets before they could spread their sect further. While imprisoned, the three prophets and all of their followers dissapeared on the same night and large white ships that were never before seen bore them to their present home. Whether the escape and the mysterious ships were the result of divine providence or of a secret alliance with the gnomish or hobgoblin shipmasters was a frequent conversation topic in the Gessen aristocracy. For the last hundred years or so they have grown from their original 47 people into a nation state of 10,000. While the original settlers were prodigious, the huge growth rate comes from more converts from the Gessen empire and from Helisol missionaries intermarrying with the people in the jungles of Icaza. This intermarraige started the path to an alliance with the Suyu empire, although in many respects the two groups will never see eye-to-eye.

Location- X36-AA40 (colored map) or AB36-AE40 (Original map) Race- 85% Human, 15% Other Size- Most of the plains and mountains in that peninsula. Several large cities. Allignment- Greatly varied, with a norm of NG General information- This is the Gessian Empire. It was originally founded by two friends, Gessius and Sernon. Eventually, Sernon believed that Gessius had become corrupt, and rallied his followers against him. Sernon was defeated, and his followers were cursed and exiled into the forests to the north. Through the centuries, the Gessians thrived. The mountains to the south provide suitable amounts of ore. They have a notable capital city in X37, and a trade city in X39. The followers of Sernon, the Flenn, became a nocturnal, nomadic race. In addition to living in the forests, they migrated into the northern jungles and accross the gulf to the upland jungles. They could be a slightly different race, though they still count as human.
Btw, I'm not opposed to changing names and such.
Hailspork, as we expand we might want to work a bit together on the jungle area there, I am not ready for it, but the western end I have inhabited by evil gnolls and dark druids (though had expanded throughout and might have ahd either alliances or confrontations with the Flenn. Also see my wemic thread and the god "The Rotting" to work out how the Flenn would react to that. The Flenn would have fewer interactions with the Wemic as they a) dont go that far into the jungle normally and b) there is a buffer of gnolls there.
Ill mail this to you as well. | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

I don't mind working with you and perhaps roguealpha to flesh out the jungle area. Btw, there's going to be some Flenn living in the Floating Island's terrain, on the surface level anyway.
