| I've been thinking...
Since all the minis previously made will eventually come out however it will probably take a few years then it is likely they will benefit from power creep.
Generally power creep is seen as a game progresses both for marketing reasons and because they creators have a better idea of what makes a good piece.
Now if Harbringer as an example doesn't get rereleased with new cards for two or three years we are likely to see harbringer figures (which those of us who have been around for awhile already own plenty of) being very competitive. Easily as competitive as whatever set is new at that time.
This is a slim silverlining that makes me somewhat less annoyed with the whole DDM 2 thing.
Oddly though the most popular skirmish figures will likely suffer from early set weakness since they will be released much sooner when the creators don't know the game so well yet. Not enough time for power creep to set in. They might be good for a bit but will likely fade quickly.
Thus Vadania has a better chance of being a real killer than Orc Champ or the Umber Hulk.

| Good point. With the reset, any piece could become the "killer" piece.

| A true point about them coming out later makes it more likley to be competive.
But imo the vast bulk of restats will be at the level of retro epics. Mostly okay for fun games, but not tier one.
