Nice to see them using a dwarf as the iconic fighter.

So if this is the standard model of a fighter it means a fighter has a lot of hit points and a lot of healing but does fairly poor damage compared to the ranger. At least on a round by round basis. She can pack a single big punch but her standard round by round damage is unremarkable.

Seems playable but not as much fun as being able to hit hard.

Thanks for all the scans thewulf.

I thought saving throws were getting phased out? Yet there for cast iron tummy and stand ground... ? Does save automactially mean vs defense now, and I wonder what stand yer ground defense would be.

Totally wipe your understanding of saves from your mind: Saves no longer have anything to do with defenses (Fort, Will, Ref)

A save is something you execute at the end of your turn in order to nullify an existing condition. You roll a d20, and if you get a 10+, you no longer suffer that condition. So, if you're poisoned and take an additional 10 damage a round (save negates), you take 10 damage at the beginning of the round, and must roll a 10+ at the end of your turn to remove the condition. The Dwarf's save bonus makes him extremely likely to recover quickly from poison.
