| So, quick mention that I don't hate 4th ed like I thought I would. Most of my problems come from some flavor issues (like changing the Blue's habitat...and I still refuse to read what they did to the Wizard), but as my wife wondered, "Why did they take out the druid?"Â
Now, I remember in the making of book for classes they stated the the druid and barabarian were going through many changes, but I was wondering if anyone knows when we will see them as dl content or in another book? | | If I kill off a 5th level party with only 3 kobolds that were based off Spartans, have I failed or succeeded at my job as a DM? | |

| Barbarian could show up in the Martial Powers book as a paragon path or alternate fighter build. More likely the Barbarian and Druid will show up in the Player's Handbook #2 (2009).
Haven't been able to read the books yet but I would imagine that mechanically-speaking you could just play a fighter as a barbarian. Wear lighter armor and take whatever powers/feats allow net you the most HP.
Druids probably didn't make the 4e launch because polymorphing/shapeshifting has always been problematic. I'd imagine the game designers wanted more playtesting time to try and get it right. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? I really want to see both classes and am quite pissed that neither was in the PH1. the only question for me is will I still be playing 4e in 2009.

| What I wonder, is how many people will I be able to find that's going to be playing 3e in a year's time.

| | I guess I'm still of the opinion that the 3.5 barbarian should have been a fighter PrC. I'm rather hoping (even though I'll likely be flamed for saying so) that the 4e barbarian is a fighter paragon path. | | "Clearly a case of too many hunchbacks and not enough mad scientists..." | |

They will be made at some point Yeah, I'm assuming that the barbarian will be a fighter paragon path in the up-coming Martial Power splatbook (due out in a few months). The druid, bard, and sorcerer almost certainly will be in next year's PHB II, which I think will also include psions and monks. I'm guessing that monks and psionic warriors will be rolled together, and that the resulting class will draw upon a psionic power source.

| | Well if the "cover" of the PH2 they are showing on Amazon is any indication it looks like Half-Orcs are in and so are the Barbarian and the Druid will be out in March09. That being said, only off of one image it looks kind of like the Druid is going to be somewhat Diablo2ish, giving more of a summoner option or a caster option. I am curious on how the wild shape will work though alittle more now. | | If I kill off a 5th level party with only 3 kobolds that were based off Spartans, have I failed or succeeded at my job as a DM? | |

| The druid has been said will be more along the lines of shapeshifting and will probably be in the PHB2. There should be a druid class coming out here soon from Necromancer Games that is made by one of the designers who posts on ENWorld. There will be plenty of choices here very soon.
