Hello all!

Some months back, I read a letter in the Knights of the Dinner Table that our troops abroad need dice to help with their gaming. Understandable, since I doubt Fallujah has a FLGS. :-) Well, I've gotten a brainstorn to do them one better.

I am currently working a deal for my FLGS to take donations from patrons to provide 4th Edition books for the troops at cost. I contacted our local USO rep, and he said if I can get the books to him, he'll get them to the troops.

However you feel about the war -- heck, however you feel about 4th Ed -- our fellow gamers are doing a tough job in an almost impossible situation. If anybody needs to relax and escape, it's them.

I'm sending a challenge to the Maxminis community to get efforts like this organized all over the country. Talk to your FLGS -- if nothing else, it's good publicity for them. You can look up your local USO at www.uso.com.
