I tried looking on the wotc forums but that was akin to finding a needle in a haystack, jeez they are disorganized.   Anyone here know if it's going to be making a show anytime soon?

Works rather well for finding 4e information from the manuals.  I looked up "Vorpal" and found 4 references on it.  I was bummed out to find that "Vorpal" no longer means your head is taken off.  Now you just get to re-roll a damage die that your rolled max on.  I will say that a critical hit with a vorpal in 4e does some nice damage unless you roll ones and twos on those dang 12 siders.  Details below on a vorpal weapon:

Level: 30
Price: 3125000 gp
Weapon: Axe, Heavy Blade
Enhancement: +6 Attack rolls and damage rolls
Critical: +6d12 damage

Property: Whenever you roll the maximum result on any damage die for this weapon, roll that die again and add the additional result to the damage total. If a reroll results in another maximum damage result, roll it again and keep adding.
Power (Daily): Free Action. Use this power when you hit with the weapon. Deal +3d12 damage with the attack.
