| Do you miss Prestige Classes?
Do you miss the customization they provide, or the extra flavor?

| Can't say I really miss them. PrCs usually bogged the game down while everyone flipped through splatbooks looking up abilities. Plus PrCs are where the really broken gish builds and game-breaking combos came from.
I have a feeling that splatbooks will start rolling out soon with more Paragon Path and Epic Destiny options (which essentially seem to have replaced PrCs in 4e). | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Options I'm not sure that 4e will have because of the reasons Zenthrus outlines in his post. My group never saw any of that garbage but it's obvious a great deal of 3.5 groups did and WotC listened to their complaints.

| The first few books of each edition in 3e slowed us down too. I expect we'll see a jillion options two years from now, and the prestige class will be a fleeting memory.

| I don't miss Presitige Classes because I think Paragon and Epic paths are a better version. So its almost like they still exist, except they are even better.

| Yeah, and a lot less level dips for the breaking.

| Our games were never broken, and it was quite common to see things like this:
My Kender Rogue/Wizard/Arcane Trickster - A lot more useful than the 4e equivalent.
My friend's Elf Ranger/Deepwood Sniper
My friend's human Barbarian/Fighter/Frenzied Berserker
Another Cleric/Mystic Wanderer/Hierophant
Another Wizard/Archmage/Cleric/True Necromancer(whatever else)
etc etc etc....
The point to my little rambling, we took classes more for flavor than anything, just to specialize further in a certain direction. My most favorite PCs happen to be:
Kender Rogue 5/Wizard 5/Arcane Trickster 10/Archmage 5 Anthromorphic Cheetah Druid Stonechild Monk/Cleric
I have had a few other favorites, like my kender paladin, my kender bard, my kender monk (yes, you heard right), and my kender druid. Can't you tell I like Kender?
