We've been using printed out power cards for the past month now.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Yeah, they're not hard to make, but I'm always the next in line for something official. I just prefer official stuff to do-it-yourself stuff, even if they look nigh-identical.

I probably have "sucker" stamped on my forehead for it, too.

Both thrilled and annoyed by the power cards for PH2. It's nice that it is only a month's difference between the two, but I think they could have released it at the same time. Still, though got to wait till March for the barbarain.............*cries alittle on the inside*

If I kill off a 5th level party with only 3 kobolds that were based off Spartans, have I failed or succeeded at my job as a DM?

The power cards are a good idea. However, if you lost just one card, you have to buy a whole new deck to replace it. Also, I doubt the decks will be updated with powers from other sources, such as Forgotten Realms and DRAGON. So I'll probably stick to making the cards myself. I'll probably pick up everything else, though, with the exception of the Dungeon Tiles.
