| The PHBII is supposed to have 8 Classes and 5 Races Anybody care to speculate? This is my take on it! We know that the Classes come from 3 power sources Arcane, Divine, and Primal, so, It's confirmed that the Classes start with B B D I S S T W Three of these are completely new, while some of the others are recycled concepts, and some are known classes. Bard (Arcane) Confirmed Barbarian (Primal) Confirmed Druid (Primal) Confirmed I - Here I would think it' Illusionist, except that Illusionist is a Shadow Power source, so it doesn't fit. S - Most likely Shaman (Primal) S - Most people think it's Sorcerer, but the 4th Ed. Sorcerer has an Elemental Power source, so this doesn't fit either. T - Completely new, probably Divine though W - Same as the T Either the I or one of the S's is a completely new Class. Now the Races! Goliath - Confirmed Gnome - Confirmed Half-Orc - Confirmed Maybe Shifter because he's mentioned in the Barbarian Class play test, but I'm thinking he will be in the Eberron PHB. (Maybe?) The last one could be anything! My guess is the Aassimars, which have been renamed Devas in the FR Player's Guide. I would like to hear what others think, know, or think they know. Thanks

| I'd like to see the Mageblade in there. I've got mostly zero interest in the FR setting and would prefer it to be in a Book I'd want to buy.

| Posted By Auric on 10/19/2008 6:07 PM There isn't a possibility that the Illusionist and the Sorcerer are under the Arcane power source? Just a thought. It's very possible! Anything is possible. Those two are just assumptions that I have from various 4th Ed. articles that I've read. Only the stuff that's confirmed by WOTC is fact, everything else is just guesses, assumptions and wishful thinking!! Like.. Totemist as a Primal Defender and Witch Hunter as a Divine Striker.

| | I'd like to guess as a race, though probably unlikely, that there'd be a duergar, as they have the drow as well. Or maybe a minotaur. That would be cool. | | Trade references: http://www.maxminis.com/Forums/tabid/104/forumid/53/postid/801085/view/topic/Default.aspx Trades on WotC: vandyfry, hothie. Cyriss | |

| I've got a post with everything known about upcoming races & classes, with sources, over here on ENWorld.
Bard, Barbarian, Druid, and Sorcerer are all confirmed in. Shaman is almost certainly in. For I, T, and W I'll guess Inquisitor (Divine Striker), Theurge (Divine Controller), and Warden (Primal Defender), but I'll be shocked if that ends up being right.
For races, Gnomes, Half-Orcs, Goliaths, and Shifters are all confirmed, and the last race starts DE so it's almost certainly Devas, the renamed Aasimar.

| It seems the "T" is a mistake! It's actually an "A" for Avenger with a Divine power source. | | DEALS COMPLETED: 69, (33 Maxminis, 19 Hordelings, 9 Others, 7 Unofficial, 1 Bad) DEALS PENDING: 0, | |

| Final Roll Call?
Avenger, Divine (probably Striker)? Barbarian, Primal Striker Bard, Arcane Leader Druid, Primal Controller Invoker, Divine Controller Shaman, Primal Leader Sorcerer, Arcane Controller Warden, Primal (probably Defender)?
With these Classes most of the slots for the first four Power sources are represented. We're still missing a Martial Controller, but I don't see how the mechanics for that would work anyways?

| I think you list is spot on....Warden IS Defender and Avenger IS a Striker.
As for a Martial Controller, I think it'd be a heck of lot like the Druid's "beast form" attacks. They're all melee attacks with claws and fangs, but have secondary Slow/Slide/Dazed effects. So you could imagine someone being able to do similar stuff with weapons/poisons/kung fu, etc. I could see a Martial Controller...I liked the grapevine's suggestion of calling it a Hunter/Trapsmith, but yeah, it's a pipedream (at the moment). | | | |

| Warden might be an Arcane Defender... Warden sounds more civilization-like, than nature-like...
Either that, or the Sorcerer has that role... (If there really is a Sorcerer, which I doubt)
