is it worth it to take a feat for this skill if you are a warlock or wizard

I was under the Impression the Wizard gets it automaticaly, as Knowledge Arcana is one of the skills he starts with.  The Warlock can pick Arcana as one of his skills too.  I don't know why you would have to spend a feat.
